What is the most you ever paid for a record?

What is the most you ever paid for a record?

Is there anything you would be willing to spend even more on?

dunno like $10 for antichrist superstar when it came out.

A single record would probably be Scott Walker's Drift LP. I don't remember the price but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. I have dropped as much as $100 for box sets

40 bucks for an OG pressing of Freak Out by Frank Zappa, also spent 40 on a copy of Animal Lover by The Residents

>What is the most you ever paid for a record?
I paid around $90 for a first pressing of Dopethrone

>Is there anything you would be willing to spend even more on?
Yes and I will
Some records are simply unobtainable for me outside of expensive Discogs listings

A Vinyl Me Please subscription just to get Ready to Die with its original cover. Virtually only way to get it

about $175 for an original Meet the Residents

50 bucks for an unopened original pressing of ELO’s out of the blue, which was supposed to be clear blue but wasn’t (but whatevs, I’m sure the black sounds better). I strongly debated buying MGMT’s EP for 90 bucks but haven’t pulled the trigger yet

$100 for an original pressing of Gas - Pop.

$40 for some japanese jazz record I hadn't heard before. Never doing that shit again.

I have some grails I would drop money on if I ever came across them. Midori Desu or Drop Nineteen.

$150ish for an original of What's The Story Morning Glory.

50$ for an OG press of The United States of America self titled LP. Worth it.

Paid 70 for the Soundtracks for the Blind boxset when it came out last year

thats a steal dude

I spent about $120 on the Mother 2 soundtrack. Sealed and never played.

$40 + $20 shipping on The Stalin - Mushi

I collect CDs so it’s never gotten to the ridiculous vinyl prices. Most I’ve paid is I think $12 for New Plastic Ideas (copy that accidentally says Uwound on the spine so it’s legit). Unfortunately it’s damaged and Arboretum and Fiction Friction skip like crazy.

>paying for music

175 bucks... don't really regret it but I'm not about to do it again

I purchased a rare Yes live bootleg on colored vinyl for over $50, theoretically it is now worth nearly twice as much.

Might pull the trigger on floral shoppe for like 70 bucks

60 for an original european sex pistols my most treasured record.

>paying for content
It's been a solid 10 years - even for fetish porn.

>paying for physical content
Yeah. Nah.
