EVERYBODY POST YOUR SOUNDCLOUDS BELOW! PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK! I'LL BE SURE TO RETURN ANY FEEDBACK I GET
here are a few links of some songs i'm working on. ive been putting a lot of focus in my production and a lot less in promotion, but i think its time people start to hear what i can make. i want people to appreciate my art.
>soundcloud.com/dmn2398 just listened to a few songs of yours, they're really cool! i can hear the effort you put in them and i love the way u mix everything
Anyone know how I can get a hold of "R" from the Jormungand Perfect Order soundtrack? Some dude has the entire album on there but for some reason left it out?
thanks dude! for the stuff online rn i used serum and some effects, but i've been using better preset-based synths lately. don't really fuck with making my own synths all the time like other people do
just listened to your newest track, super forward thinking and well-produced as always really entrancing and easy to lose yourself in. I really love the atmosphere this is great. butterfly nights is so fucking adorable my guy
These are the climaxes next to eachother, gonna make it a 6-7min track in the end, cause prog is life. Some feedback on whatever coms to mind, would be greatly appreaciated.
>dark and glitchy hip hop >using spiritual jazz samples
HARD. AS. FUCK.
Not super crazy about it, but I definitely do see the merit. Beat is hella nice, but the vocal performance is not my favorite thing. Def keep doing your thing tho
okay yea i see you, this is my shit
Jayden Miller
Is this inspired by BMSR at all? We make very similar music.
sole was really tingy it really hit the texture feeling i like in music and it moves in a way that feels like an ocean
its very grating the two main sounds dont seem to mix well but it creates a weird feeling to it, I was kinda waiting on some lyrics but after skipping through the song i was kinda disapointed sorry
A nice sad boy rap as per usual it panders but this is pretty good not gonna lie i really dig it
sometimes i ever wonder if you will change to a different picture its kinda ehhh also this is alright but too slow for me
1.A very nice 8 bit beginning 2.the beginning off kilterness was good, and the rest is to be said very fluffy 3.I just noticed the metal tag but i dont understand why, also this song kinda feels like the game LSD 4.Go out and make a game ost with this
THIS IS ME, I will be doing the other half shortly
this needs to be featured on adult swim the visuals alone are great for this man
I could not really honestly give you a descripiton on how this makes me feel
1.the feeling alone makes me feel like im listening to some horror ost music 2. I feel like everything is a metal synth its so weird dude its great 3.dude the noises are just great ok
im sorry
very wholesome indeed man
the actual fuck is wrong with you
i cant even enjoy this im sorry but its some good doom music or whatever idk thank this man for ruining it for you this still hurts my ears but its soft beats theyre good
needs more harshness to it but its still a good beat to think on
you should really think about a different name sorry the way i read it kinda ruined it lel, good song though i could see it as some pokemon type music if that makes sense
Ayo, neat beat. Wish the drums would pop a bit more though. Just my 2 cents.
Wot
Very nice can't wait to hear more as your sound becomes more refined. Love that dark energy.
If you respond to this post, I'll offer feedback to your music, or whatever the fuck you want, mang. New Shit >Industrial - Hip-Hop - Horrorcore soundcloud.com/ryanderanged/witch-hunt
This new song is fucking filthy. Those beeps at the beginning are extremely unsettling for whatever reason. The production is so grimy and dirty sounding. Really enjoyed the lyrics as well. Nothing but love for this one.
Damn, this is a fantastic video. The song is really great as well. Your playing is always incredibly expressive.
This shit's kinda brilliant. The song itself after the first half loses what made it so exciting and just becomes noise instead of interesting noise but the video was great for this kind of thing. Well done. Maybe make the layering more interesting next time for the second half but you really did some cool stuff with the first half and the video. I'll be following you, i'm excited for more
The songs with the hip hop influences were really interesting. First song was meh, a little boring for my tastes, but the next two were really good.
This is rad, really nice broham. Following you too
Somebody likes their effects. Maybe tone that down a little bit, the absolute state of the fazer on these tracks was almost bordering on parody.
Yeah this is killer keep it up, really love this shit.
>Dark / Dream Pop >TTS / Vocoder Vocals >Claypool- esque fretless bass >Now with reduced treble on a few tracks!
Recs Rec'd before but seriously waste goes HARD Beat on this is great. same with all the little embellishment sounds, makes it immersive Love the video. makes me want to see your pedalboard Please make more of this Slaps
song about going through your life feeling like you're doing nothing but fucking up, and everything people say you shouldn't be doing. It also touches on my general anxiety disorder.
Will be here to listen to feedback, thoughts and stuff.
>Acoustic, traditional American folk, roots music, no production effects, one mic, one take
Latest two tracks are both a song from the 1700s, Pretty Saro, one acapella and one with guitar
Its a modal song not easy for instrument arrangement, and in the acapella I've tried to add some flourishes that bring it to its Scots-Irish roots, though the basic tune comes from Doc Watson/Iris Dement.
Did some takes with the new drum mics. They didn't make my trashcans and trashcan lids kit sound any better. Shocker. Going to fiddle around some more. Might not expect new drum-track uploads this week after all. I'm very disappointed, but shouldn't be surprised. The source sound isn't good, what did I expect? (inb4 Dubbi tells me to hit a studio with a session drummer. Dubbi plz. I'm going to hit a real studio once I have somebody who's a good drummer as a band member (read: Not Me)) That said, got my reel to reel operational. Ran When I Hear My Voice through it, and pushed it up to get some saturation, and I was really liking what I was hearing. I've got to clean up the guts of the machine though, because there's some dusty sort of noise. (And I spent forever re-wrapping my tape after a user error tape explosion... That was not fun). Anways, after that blogpost for the lads in the threads who may be interested (Thom Moot, et al), here's my soundcloud. soundcloud.com/b-rad-94 >alternative >blues rock >garage >punk-ish
Do you stack channels and play everything or is this multiple musicians?
This sounds like it needs some mixing love-- the same tune and musician skills would sound a lot better with some production attention. As is, its pretty muddy, some EQing would go a long way.
Do you have mics on each drumkit piece?
Mixing fat noisy rock tunes like this is really hard, keep tweaking and working, it will pay off.

Right now I play and sing it all myself through a Zoom HD16 board. The demos as posted were done with 2 overheads, a snare top and bottom mic, a kick mic, and a room ambient mic, for drums. Vox were either a SM58 or Rode NT1. Guitar was SM57 on a Fender Deluxe. The things you pointed out are why I'm labeling them all demos. I'm not good at mixing or eq'ing. Eventually I want to get in a studio, but I need to find a drummer (who has time for another project, which is the real issue) first.

Okay right on man, sounds like youre putting some work in. Youve got some skills for sure, the guitar solo on your latest was decent, the singing is pretty unique and would benefit a lot from the right effects.
The most basic aspect of mixing is getting the channel volumes right: balancing guitar, vox, snare, kick etc.
The second most important element is EQing or spread. Im not familiar with any of the equipment you mentioned, but to get away from a "muddy" sound you need to make sure the lows, highs and mids come out pronounced.
After that comes stereo/panning.
There are a ton of tricks-- my favorite is to double record rhythm guitar to two channels, pan one 80% left stereo and the other 80% right. EQ highs up on one and lows on the other. You can do this with vox too.
Are you using a DAW to assemble the work?
Did you have a bass in this mix?
I dont mean to henpeck, Im digging what youve got going and am just trying to be helpful.
Ayden Gonzalez
I played a fretless carvin in a TTNG rip off band for years and let me tell you, this made me miss those times a lot. Fat tones with such a great scoop on the EQ for the bass makes this fit so fucking well. Even some low B stuff, no? I appreciate the motifs and talent you're showcasing here and I will be listening to your discog tonight and getting back to you in the next thread I see you in. So far, after just listening to a handful of your tracks I think what you're doing here is so unique and requires a great deal of musicianship on an instrument I just adore so much. Can't wait to dive in but for now I for sure recommend.
Also here's my board. Synth nine does a lot of the power lifting for all of the scam likely tracks. Would love to get your opinion of my track "Twice" it has the exact opposite style of bass playing you utilize and I have often thought about incorporating more rigorous octave style slapping but feel it's incredibly hard to mix and be heard. I want to hear your tone play 'My name is mud'. the 0-1-3 0-1-3 on the low B is so hard to get to sound good.
Looking forward to diving in to your soundcloud, thanks for posting.
It is in stereo and that was just my headphones. Cool glitch-y sounds and a dreary ambient pad.
Jason Mitchell
Love the aggressive vocal parts and the big percussion hits. Track slays.
Oliver Morris
Have you tried fiverr? I saw a youtube video where someone put a tune together for about $250 there. Wasn't crazy but all the spaces were filled appropriately
I like the guitar. Super bright. Happy tree makes me think of bob ross. Optimistic attitude
I said Ben Folds last time listening but I get some blink 182 vibes as well. Piano sounds a little canned.
It's an alright composition and nothing is technically bad, but I feel like nothing specifically jumps out at me. Kinda gives me 60's vibes at times.
My stuff. Take a listen and follow me on spotify if you dig.
thanks man. Your stuff's cool too. punchy as all hell. sounds like something I'd play saturdays at 3 am when I come home and can't sleep cause of... reasons
Joseph Scott
Yeah, haha. I actually just found him last night desu. Rick beato and holistic songwriting are my go tos. I do partake in some Adam neely and stevie t as well.
And tier zoo
Isaiah Thomas
not sure if i have a specific style right now, but all i know is i'm still working on loads of music before i release anything new.
but i do have one song that i guess for a lack of a better term is "edgy" rap.
Thank you, really. Twice is really cool. I always tried to make my basslines melodic and on Twice it sounds so natural. The middle section really reminds me of some of the breakdowns / bridges on the first Modest Mouse album. It sounds great. As for my name is mud... instaud.io/3E7V The B string on my fretless is pretty low tension, so it sounds kinda "flabby"
You're voice is sweet and rich. I definitely hear some of the Irish in it. I thinkthe pretty saro guitar part would work with the new vocals but I can definitely imagine that being hard to do simultaneously.
I like the double tracking on the vocals of I forgot the fridge door. I listened to a few more. It's all mellow and feels heartfelt and legitimate. Like you're comfortable and intimate with the listener in a sense.
Also I saw you reposted one of my tunes Thank you so much! I'm almost never logged into my main so I hadn't seen till now.
Wet sounding production. Great textures. I'd love to hear a stronger lead melody/hook though
My stuff
