It's great but the production is a little too polished at times? Doesn't have the same rawness that their earlier material had, minor complaint regardless

honestly no. weird how apeshit people go over this album because of theneedledrop, i mean these guys are great musicians and the sound is damn good but the vocalist adds nothing to the songwriting (i'd argue he subtracts)
as far as the sound goes its really not thaaaaaaat far from 2000s noise rock bands like the goslings or health. daughters is just a good noise rock band- not much more than that imo

great fucking album, it gets a lot hate on this board just because of melon.

The melody is on point, all songs are great on that aspect. However it's also very tame and not abrasive at all, they didn't go hard enough.

Satan in the wait is the only good song on the album, others are shit

It’s the wave of existential anxiety we need in 2018. Progressive, Haunting layer and visceral. No not particularly abrasive or aggressive but that what makes it unique amongst noise rock records in my opinion. Is compositions are a lot more about building to something greater. And it’s less about abject edginess and more on a subtler more cold psychological wavelength as far as the tone goes
