This is true. Plaster walls hurt internet signals. Also it's easy to reconfigure the insides of our houses. We actually built a lot with structural steel, and so the frame of the house has a mix of steel beams and posts with easy to replace and modify drywall. In the north tons of our houses actually have plaster walls. It's undesirable and mostly inhabited by niggers, Mexicans, and sometimes hipsters.

There's a lot to criticize about US housing, but OP clearly is talking about interiors.
Even brick houses here are going to have sheetrock inner walls.

Concrete is cheap, it's what they build houses out of in florida to withstand hurricanes. Brick is expensive in the US because you either have to ship it from the one clay deposit in the northeast or import it from europe. Clay is heavy. It would increase the cost of housing by 3 to 4x and it would be a terrible construction material since brick can not withstand any known natural disasters except blizzards. They dont use brick or wood in australia either but you feel comfortably superior to australia already so you dont need to criticize them for validation

I bought a rehab house for $30k, Knocked out most of the Chinese drywall that was venting fumes. Rock solid cinder block construction so I put up a moisture barrier, faced insulation, ran new romex and added RJ45, HDMI and RCA phono jacks to 6 of the rooms. I also ran an additional Cat5e that I can use for low voltage home automation. I still looks like a condemned building on the outside but it looks amazing on the inside.

Not really, it's usually done during the construction of the house, it's pretty fast to do at that point as you just cut it and bash huge chunks of brick out and you don't need to worry about patching it, it just gets plastered into the wall when the plasterer is doing the wall.

It only becomes difficult when you're installing a pipe/conduit after the plastering, as you have to fill it up to the plaster and get it perfectly smooth. Although smoothing filler in plaster isn't that much harder than repairing plasterboard if you're concerned about it being truely flat in both cases.

Brick and mortar are added over the cinder block construction on the outside of commercial buildings. They are not the primary structure support material.
