Redpill me on Vampire Weekend please. To me they sound so boring but I want to get into them

Their debut album is their only good one.

It's actually their worst but okay.

Vampire Weekend is a pretty low-energy band, there's way more musically interesting stuff out there to listen to, their selling point is their lyrics/aesthetic, which are only interesting if you're a very specific sort of person. There's a lot of pretentiousness / gay shit about them that you have to look past to "get" them.

Does all of FOTB sound sunny and happy go lucky? Cuz I’m 4 tracks in and these are all starting to blend in.
