>no Billie Eilish
Dropped

pleb

This is actually pretty good

You know what, there are a lot of little additions I'm happy about, so it's not all bad. More than anything I'm just happy we all recognise that STGSTV was always better than MPP.

Actually pretty accurate, but the Yea Forumscore section is too big. I'd say keep it to no more than 10 records and move the rest into their appropriate subsections.

Ideally, it should be:
ITAOTS, Loveless, Pet Sounds, ITCOTCK, Remain in Light, Spiderland, SFTB, Kid A, STGSTV and The Money Store (no, not Exmilitary).

I'm just gald there's two Joanna albums there.

Literallywho

>death grips over sweet trip

>MBDTF not in front tier Yea Forumscore anymore

Attached: fd0.png (680x817, 209K)

Absolutely. I don't like Death Grips, but they're hands down the most meme'd group on this board (aside from NMH obviously).

>Hospice
>WYWH and Low over Skinny Fists and MBDTF

Are QOTSA even discussed that much here?

In Rainbows should be there instead of Kid A, its basically the embodiment of Yea Forums's contrarianism and honestly it gets talked about more

also I'd say Sweet Trip should be in over STGSTV

Are you from 2012 or something? There's like one thread about either of these bands in two days now, in fact, most of the albums listed as the definitive Yea Forumscore on this chart are discussed less than some of the sub/mu/core these days

Most memed sure, but I've seen the most unanimous praise for sweet trip than any other album. I don't think anyone dislikes it.

ITCOTCK is discussed daily here. Fripp is a meme. It deserves it's place.

>in rainbows
>basically the embodiment of Yea Forums's contrarianism
What?

>Are you from 2012 or something?
Yes. But still, there is literally a NMH thread up right now. I see no Sweet Trip thread.

Please take Wish You Were Here out of basic Yea Forumscore. I hat Pink Floyd. I can't be alone in this. Reddit move putting that there, OP. Other than that pretty good

Exactly. It's not Yea Forumscore.

Also Sweet Trip definitely isn't THAT high up. I'm also skeptical about Low. TVU&N could stay but that one's iffy too.

I agree overall but Echoes is the best song in popular music

Well, ITAOTS doesn't fall into the "most" category since it's been iconic for Yea Forums for such a long time that there's no way discussion about it is going to fully stop

Yeezus is.

I'd still say MBDTF is more important than Yeezus, even now.

Imo Yeezus has stood the test of time more than MBDTF.

I've literally never seen anyone say one bad thing about it. Yea Forums circlejerks around it so much so fuck it let it be mucore so it'll get memed enough where people are finally not afraid to talk shit about it

I never listened to Pink Floyd except of this album but PF is discussed here wery often to be on top and WYWH is their most Yea Forums album as I can see on this board
Same with Bowie
Also I wanted to add a Rivers Cuomo photo on top lol

Why in god's name did you remove Spiritualized?

Lol. SOPHIE is officially mucore.

I almost forgot about Spiritualized (and Yea Forums did it too)

I wonder why honestly. I guess it's a hard album to pin down, or draw parallels to.
I don't know about anyone else but for me I only ever seem to listen to the full album. If I ever listen to a song separately it'd probably be dsco or chocolate matter. The rest of the album doesn't really follow the same song structures and instead it's more like it goes from one section to the next rather than song to song. It's a strange album, I can't even remember what song ends where.

That's so fucking Reddit though. And no, I disagree, Pink Floyd is not discussed enough to be on the very top. Pink Floyd should be a matter of public music knowledge anyway. Listen to all their albums if you haven't.

This. If Pink Floyd are Yea Forumscore, then so are The Beatles. At the very least, WYWH, Fishmans, SAW and Low should be cut.

Ok you can remove it
I disabled to do it now

yea pretty much same for me. Dsco and CM and maybe Fruitcake and Cookies are the only songs I can listen to individually. And a lot of the album is just long stretches of non-danceable glitches like how can u listen to that without the full experience. idk I see that as a negative honestly

>No Siamese Dream
>Wish you were here is Yea Forums core
>No Disintegration
>Blackstar
>Yeezus above MDBTF
>No Ride the Lightning
>No Black Parade
>No Christian and the Hedgehog Boys
This ain't it Cheif

>Fishmans
I thought about making this picture since a year ago and that live was posted here every day

>Siamese Dream
Mellon Collie replaced it now
>Disintegration
Pornography is more popular here
>Ride the Lightning
Only one metal album per artist
>Black Parade and Hedgehog Boys
memes

That's probably why I like it. To each their own I guess

>Nirvana
>Modern

Okay who's going to tell him?

Modern means post90

Memes are an integral part to Yea Forums
If you look back at previous charts he had memes like that Ken album

Excluding "yourmom" there's no word that ages as quickly as "modern" anyway.

Ultrazoomer

Actually in any respectable artistic context modern means postwar at the very latest

Cold war?

WW2 at the latest, but even that's postmodernism, modernism came before that

i agree

I mean Ulysses was 1920s, I’m still learning about modernism/post modernism but isn’t that kind of when it started to become a consolidated idea?

Modern should be post 1999 because when the Yea Forums core chart was made it was around 2009

Nothing should be "modern", because it makes the list quickly outdated. Just use decades to name the sections.

Right, but the modern classics, pitchfork core, whatever you wanna call it section would have a chance to feature a lot of new albums if we change the parameters on it. it should be either 1999 or 2000 to now. then just take the best albums from 1990-99 and add them to classics. great way to filter out the best

i just made one for the hell of it, just the modern section, and this is all i came up with so far. it's harder than i thought. still, there's like 88 albums here

Attached: topsters2 (2).jpg (3798x2800, 1.49M)

interesting

>MM...FOOD, The Unseen, Donuts, Liquid Swords, Three-6-Mafia, Aquemini, Madvillainy and Illmatic all in /mucore/

Love you Yea Forums

>No Operation Doomsday, ATliens, Blue Note or any BONES mixtape

Nevermind

>ATLiens and Doomsday
Only one album per artist in this section

>Only one album per artist in this section
>There's Madvillainy when there's already MM...Food, even if it's a collab

Fuck you're right how can I forget about this

We've got a 1967 album in "Modern"? How are you defining modern??

Can you post the full picture?

Damn this is actually a good list (though that’s the wrong mr bungle record)

Saved. I’ll try to spread it around.

I've not been on Yea Forums since 2012. What is Sweet Trip?

Modern is under "Modern", not over.
imgur.com/a/kqmOHLk
Bottom metal row is accidentally cropped but still recognisable

Oh I get it
Do you mean Smile Sessions?

Nice quads, but it's the same pic. It's not the original, is it?

Could you add the “electronic” genre heading? It’s just not there

It is, I made this image yesterday and it's kind of a demo version but I disabled to do it anymore

Am I just missing Jim O’Rourke it is he not on here? I guess Yankee and Ys are good enough representation but he is a favorite here

A unique little album that went completely under the radar in 2003, and is now gaining a following for its blend of electronics and shoegaze/indie. youtu.be/fZlNt05dCX8
It’s become one of my favourite albums that Yea Forums has brought attention to

wtf where’s time?!

Attached: BEA74FD2-C141-4C68-B33F-F96B3125F54A.jpg (474x480, 35K)

Sorry, the band is called Sweet Trip, it’s just easier to say that than Velocity Design Comfort all the time

I wanted to write here this:
>The fact that so many Yea Forumstants still use the term ''electronic music'':
But my paint didn't saved it

Good album but it posted very rarely here

can't read shit

The next time this thread happens it’ll be in there, just keep shilling

I see pic related a lot here still, a lot more than Royal Trux, The Knife, Swirlies, Clarence Clarity, and Sun City Girls at the very least
Also only one classical recording? Add some Beethoven & Reich at the very least. And I’d swap out Metal Machine Music with Transformer

Attached: DF8868B2-6C44-4E5B-9EC4-BA533B6E1540.jpg (1200x1200, 186K)

eh I dont really see Transformer on Yea Forums other than on charts like this

not even a bad chart, really. there are some removals/changes i dislike but also a lot of stuff added that i do like. a better idea of the current board.

Wow actually not that bad
This is the first time I've seen an updated Yea Forumscore that isn't utter shit.
Could still use a bit of tweaking, but good job, OP

Yeah sure man but why is there no Mercyful Fate on there?

Beause chart is not rubber long

It needs more prog

REEEEEEEEE

Attached: GenesisSellingEngland.jpg (300x300, 59K)

Not enough /scarufficore/ for me

Not all scarufficore get mention here without scaruffi threads

If only everyone was on the same wavelength

I can't read a couple of the albums in the cutoff part of the metal section.

Is this the final version of the chart OP? It’s cropped funny like said, and a lot of the suggested changes in this thread make sense

its also woefully out of date at this point, not true in 2019 at all

>chart has barely changed
retard

Becsuse we're discussing same albums since 2009 retard

No its not final but I cant change it anymore so feel free for you to do it

Yea Forumscore isn't about the contrarian picks, it's about the board's culture and most popular picks.

anybody has the original chart pic from 2009? i'm so curious

Some nice new fresh additions there desu but there's always gonna be some discrepancy. I'd rather have Ready to Die and Illinois still on there for example.

Illinois isn’t on there? That’s fucking criminal.

Attached: general 1.jpg (2224x4888, 1.74M)

Add in Arctic Monkeys

lmao we are discussing the same fuckin albums

>replace Bad with Off The Wall
>add Jenny Death somewhere
>add 2814 - Birth Of A New Day in bleep section
>pick only 10-15 main mucore albums

jesus christ you weren't kidding

jenny death isn't rly discussed at all nowadays, i support the others tho

Bump

>no pic related

I'm sorry, what

Attached: usa.gif (400x400, 2.11M)

Too patrician in a post-trap rap Yea Forums

the fuck is

Attached: Song Spiral.gif (300x300, 412K)

wrong with you?

Attached: forever.gif (1000x300, 1.49M)

Almost perfect.
just add MPP and you should be good

mpp is here

nice gifs
I would think about them

The only reason you consider in rainbows the contrarian pick is because kid a is on the chart. If you change the status quo, the contrarians change along with it. You’re an idiot.

i dont see it
rateyourmusic.com/release/single/tiger/my_puppet_pal/

Despite me liking both albums don’t think wywh or low are discussed enough to be core. Ys, Closer to the edge, twin fantasy, stratosphere and pink moon are all discussed more than both of those.
Also in the classics section why is there no fahey. Why is the first smiths album the chosen representer. Pornography is inferior to disintegration or even the cure’s first album.
I appreciate the moondog placement, but is it really more jazz than classic?

wtf is this

Fahey is here

I agree with everything you’re saying but I wouldn’t want car seat headrest on there

Also Pornography and Smiths are more popular here recently

There is a disgusting lack of this
No sophie
Buyers market lol

Attached: 203494bd.jpg (320x320, 47K)

Sophie isn’t well liked, but is discussed endlessly even if it’s only cause trans.

Ah I wasn’t expecting the live album. That’s an interesting but respectable choice.
I think that hatful of hollow is generally accepted to be better than the self titled smiths album. But pornography is only discussed more in the dream pop and shoegaze generals for being proto. I don’t think the majority of the board likes pornography the most. But I could be wrong
I’ll second adding candy claws.

I see these all the time, definitely deserve to be in the chart, like it or not

>Fushitshitshit

lol get real

Attached: eugh.png (280x315, 63K)

please swap the strokes and nldw so it looks like pp -> butt haha

Attached: brilliant.png (802x564, 661K)

based

You can't just change the chart after a single thread, use your head m8

That is exactly what happened last time

This is much better than older charts, but I don't see Disintegration by The Cure

the metal section still sucks

Please add this

Attached: 1200x630bb (7).jpg (630x630, 122K)

What albums do you want to see

>watch Yea Forums get more and more pleb in real time

get rid of soad for one, I mean what the fuck is that doing there

>Sad Wings of Destiny
>Scum
>Mental Funeral
>Master of Reality (the s/t isn't metal enough)
>Abigail
and no Liturgy or Deafheaven

get rid of SPTGSPTV, only contrarians like that shit, you can probably replace Kid A with In Rainbows by now. AMSP should be added as well it's already almost regarded as a modern classic anyways. Really though we should do this tournaments/bracket style or whatever planned to do, Yea Forumscore is a community thing after all.

Shut up faggot

why so angry sweaty?

Because you don't understand true art.

Liturgy and Deafheaven are Yea Forums core like you them or not

I’m struggling to find pic related anywhere, weird
Also
>including albums like Substrata on bleeps but no 76:14

Attached: 5EF269E5-7D8A-44C6-AAAE-6D0FA56AD71F.jpg (1200x1200, 271K)

Bad idea if plebs like you vote good albums out for shite

eh, it doesn't have to be polling, I'm sure we can find some sort of alternative while still involving the community.

No this is a wrong opinion

>Yea Forums
>community
Do you know where you are?

what? we're all friends on Yea Forums :^)

this is pretty great, but I think Age of Adz should be replaced by Illinois

Maybe, but we ain't no fucking "le epic internet subculture community xd". If you want some shit like that, go back to R-weddit

No friend of mine would talk shit about STGSTV

This. Also California for Mr. Bungle

And Freak Out for Uncle Meat

What were the parameters for deciding this? I just can't agree with pushing MPP out in favor of Spirit.

Also, Goodbye and Hello should replace Lorca.

>Parameters
Popularity on mu

The Talking Heads- Fear of Music and The Residents- Not Available should be put into the Classics.

>Two Tim Buckley albums
I like Tim but he’s not popular enough here to warrant two inclusions. Maybe replace Lorca with A Little Man & A House, Underwater Moonlight, Soul Mining, or Murmur?

This is the ideal Animal Collective album. You may not like it, but this is what’s peak performance looks like.

Attached: 74B2A26F-1A37-449A-934E-E99B27483A4C.jpg (1000x1000, 160K)

Maybe Murmur or Underwater Moonlight but The The is barely still discussed here and for Cardiacs it would be Sing to God

I like both albums, but its just shocking to me not to see it in Yea Forumscore since it and Sung Tongs were the first albums that got me to expand my musical horizons.

How was this assessed? Is it just from you making observations and everything over time or did you scroll through the archive? I'm just curious about your sampling technique.

We’ve come full circle now.

This chart is better than anything else posted. Yea Forums really has regressed

metal section is strill shit
also no vampire rodents

this is easily the most accurate attempt at this i’ve ever seen. great job user

if we're gonna have a Mr. Bungle album, I think it should be Disco Volante, as I see that talked about more

>no die lit
Unironically die lit belongs there

This, fuck the yeezusfag that made this chart

>Is it just from you making observations and everything over time
This
I dont even like this place anymore but I still visit it a couple of times every day

Just realized this isn’t in classics, it should be for sure

Attached: 2B633C44-4D32-45ED-A195-30A811C9BCBE.jpg (300x300, 195K)

I'm the only one that posts Jesu 's selftitled, how can it be Yea Forumscore?

Broadrick's projects are definitely mucore

Lullaby Land is my second fav from scaruffi but it's dont posted here so often to be on chart

>2019 mucore
>has a jazz, electronic and a metal section
so its not mucore? weird

Literally how is TMR still making it into the list? Same for King Crimson, Slint, Soundtracks for the Blind and Animal Collective. Drop that shit already.

implying Yea Forums is not a full of IDMfags

It is, but that's not what the essentials there represent.

If there were not jazz metal electronic sections I will be eaten alive

???

add it

Attached: download (1).jpg (225x225, 15K)

Post the full picture.

Also add the title for the electronic section.

Add Jenny Death into the rap section.

Otherwise, looking good.

>Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Fucking finally

Attached: brian-chippendale.jpg (540x720, 91K)

You know there would be a tons of questions like "why jazz section is removed"
Maybe for second time I will remove all sections and fuse them with classics/modern but then it will be look not so legit for a chart

>no Joy Division - Closer
lmao ok bud

>Magnolia Electro Co. on there
Thank you!

Also, put in The Roots for hip hop

>You know there would be a tons of questions like "why jazz section is removed"
No. I don't think so. Yea Forums can't get into jazz, metal and electronic, so removing those sections is fair, as they are not Yea Forumscore.

t. clown

Interesting how you put Age of Adz instead of Illinois. Adz is my favourite Sufjan album, but Illinois is his most famous work.

???

It applies to Kanye with MBDTF and KSG since the latter is a collaborative album too. At least Aquemini is on there.

Age of Adz is, which is weird. I love that album, but that's the most unconventional Sufjan album besides Enjoy Your Rabbit.

MBDTF and KSG are in big section and that allows more than one album

I always thought The Glow pt2 deserved to be at the top. But I'm biased af

pretty good but it needs basedgod

Should add Viet Cong and Nonagon Infinity.

Needs D'Angelo - Voodoo and Timberlake's Futuresex

Add in some Tyler the creator

second this

needs this

Attached: file.png (320x320, 151K)

seconded

Thirded

Fuck your shitty list.

t. Avant Math God

Bladee posted every single fucking day WHY the fuck is it not on the list?

Attached: R-13396961-1553429803-3427.jpeg.jpg (599x547, 78K)

You can subdivide it into essential and secondary Yea Forumscore

There should be charts like this for every decade instead of pushing out classics when new albums get memed into relevance
Still, a general chart is good for newcomers

you hate Pink Floyd?

wow. I've literally never spoken to someone with downs syndrome before.

For hip hop:
>Remove Rodeo, TLOP
>Add Gravediggaz - 6 Feet Deep, ATCQ - Low End Theory

also:
>Add Coltrane’s Ascension
>Remove 1-2 DG Albums

>you hate Pink Floyd?

>wow. I've literally never spoken to someone with downs syndrome before

Attached: soyjack.png (644x800, 15K)

probably the best chart i've seen in this place

>Remove Bad and Purple Rain
>Add 13th Floor Elevator and The Stooges - Funhouse

>only ween album is the mollusk

Hospice is making a resurgence

classic Yea Forums response. well memed good sir I truly learnt my lesson.

how the fuck can anyone with more than half a brain cell dislike Pink Floyd? one of the greatest bands in human history. name one band better.

Attached: potme.png (191x168, 56K)

>pink floyd is the best band ever and you can't disagree!

Attached: npc.jpg (318x318, 12K)

oh no! another critical hit against me. oof, I'm really being pummelled by this 4channer. whatever shall I do? he's just so skilled at dismantling my retarded arguments it's physically wounding me.

...

Attached: potmeee.png (71x57, 10K)

>He uses images as an argument

Man it's the matter of objective talk, they're solid good and it's a truth. You might not like them, but still acknowledge they're good and influential like an intelligent person. Or argue like you do

Still too new

and what is the great argument here ? it is merely a subjective opinion. What do you expect, an article disproving your subjective opinion?
Sure, it is a big ass band liked by a lot of people through many decades. That doesn't everybody must like it, let alone think it is the greatest band ever in history.
Fuck off with your """"""""""""""""""""""""""'facts""""""""""""""""""""""""""'.

hey buddy nice quints

Attached: mu essentials 2k19.jpg (2428x2468, 1.64M)

Pretty sure it was the only one on there before anyways. Besides, I feel as though having at least 1 album on a Yea Forumscore chart implies the artist's other albums as well.

>doesn’t know the history of popular music

Because it's only liked by a small subset of like 5 or so faggots
