I hope I don't get downvoted for this, but...
I don't see why we have to be compared to other internet forums and social media. I mean think about it! What's the difference between somebody on Twitter and somebody on Reddit? Twitter users have redundant conversation topics and their political debates are a superficial, family friendly, watered down version of a strong opinion about something polemic to not upset people. We redditors are on the cutting edge of information and have in depth talks about important matters. I don't see why we should be put together with such people. We have important views and have something unique to add to every conversation.
