Rate my shrooms?

Your substrate cannot maintain the proper moisture levels, however to introduce vermiculite/perlite, even in sterilized medium would be a death sentence.

I guess shake the fuck out of them and hope your bulk spawn has a lot of trapped moisture.

They look good! Just some ideas from someone that used to grow a few ounces:

1: not enough moisture
2: shrooms grow better from rye berries
3: you can increase yields with large sealable bags and they are cheaper than jars
4: you want to add vermiculite because once the jars are fully colonized your shrooms will be big but you wont get as many or as many flushes.

Okay cool lmao, I was just hoping to spare you from trying to smoke "DMT extracted from shrooms" cause that'd turn out badly.

I want to get to DMT one day, but for now I'm thinking shrooms, then LSD or mescaline, then probably salvia in gradual doses, then DMT. Mainly experimenting for introspection and sorting a lot of unresolved stuff. Shrooms have been fantastic so far. I love doing them alone in the woods (I live in the boonies), and my favourite is vibrant greenery, biological design (like seeing small plants with leaves that track the sun like solar panels), and looking up at fractal patterns made by the canopy and in the mosses that grow here. That, and suddenly seeing hundreds of mushrooms I was blind to before the psilocybin kicked in.

For my first grow i have decided to try only coco coir for substrate. When my jars have fully colonized I will grow them in 15 liter plastic boxes. I was thinking 4 boxes, 2 colonized jars (about 0,7-1 liter jar) for each box and 4-5 liters of coir.
I dont want to do two big tubs because i don't trust my sterility.

Strange, i normally get a box for this stuff. Only shrooms i know of which you grow in jars are sclerodia (philisophers stones)

I try to grow a healthy mycelium base for those mushrooms to grow. Thats why i grow in jars. When that white mushroom web thingy has made itself storng and colonized the whole jar i transfer it to my tub. Then I wait this to fully colonize and start fruiting.

Atleast this is my understanding of how things go from here.

Man I feel that. Grew up running around decaying forests in the midwest. Feels like home finding clusters of LBMs and Chanterelle. Salvia was uncomfortable at first (body thru a taffy puller feeling) but ended in a desert animal spirit experience. Psylocin depends on the dose, had unifying experiences at 3g but also had some bad trips at high doses. Like McKenna says, set and setting. Deemz is the BFG and if i'm being honest I treat it as sacred. It is not a toy. Began being visited by Greys regularly for months after I began experimenting with it and theres no fucking way that came from no where. It is a technology for communicating with a higher plane. If you show up in that realm looking to party they will beat your ass. Not even joking. People have had reports of being ripped apart by bug critters after not treating it with respect. Just saying, we are all one conciousness, but we have to demonstrate respect for our place and show that we're trying to learn.

The lack of moisture may be saving them from green forest mold contamination but I could be wrong.

What I found to be the best is buy decent bags with a good sealer, add grain and vermiculite, get the moisture to where water doesn't fall out of the substrate unless you squeeze the substrate in your hands. Seal the bag, place bag in pillowcase, get bigass pot, put ceramic cups at the bottom so nothing burns from contact with the stoves heating element, add water to pot, cover. boil for about an hour and a half and wait a few hours. Inject bag with spore syringe and then immediately cover injection spot with micro pore tape. This allows for enough air exchange but not enough for foreign spores to get into bag. Wait like 4 weeks till pins show up and put in a bin :)

I'm not an expert but it worked for me and I didn't have to deal with contamination anymore

I have extracted DMT many times. Damn that's scary stuff but also something so unbelievable and beautiful.

It hurts my souls when i hear or read about people who use like its something funny to take in a side hobby while playing beer pong.

Needs to be respected. This is crincy cliche but it fucken well changed my life.

Couldn't agree more, man. It'll be a gradual climb for me, but I've gone up to 5g of daddy longlegs (was a particularly pleasant batch, too) so far. I only take what feels right, and I only plan to move on when I know it's time to move on, and so far I haven't had that queue. My only bad trips were moments where I gave the shroom thoughts some resistance, but you learn even from unpleasant things, so I gave way and accepted what came. They end up being some of the more impactful trips.

We also have very dry and cold climate here when its winter and beginning of autumn like right now. Not so many possible contaminants I think. The top of Nothern Yorop. The aryan lands.

Next time I grow I will try some different subtrates/techniques. It's easier to experiment then when I have more sporeprints to make syringes. I had only two now and both of them were kinda shitty looking.

That sounds nice. I'm in the southern United States where there is tons on black people acting foolish so lots of fungus and niggers.

When it comes to psychedelics I feel that when you work for them and have genuine interest in the subject as a whole you can get so much more out of it. And working on these little projects is fun too ofcourse :D

I honestly now believe we chose to come down here to learn. That or this is a playground for new baby conciousnesses to grow and make mistakes in. ate a full quarter dried
was only going to do the eighth but he goaded me into finishing the rest
the come up was horrifying, i had only smoked weed before (and was high as shit at the time)
after the first 90 minutes or so of absolute HELL i finally broke out of it
experienced complete ego-loss that time
but when the trip started going good
goddamn
one of the pinnacle experiences of my life
i microdosed twice again that year
2 grams and a 1 gram - blue caps from what i was told
those trips taught me a lot
and 15+ years later, i have no desire to attempt another one

Atleast I always get that feeling my whole mind and body says my ''don't take more''. That when you need to take more and you instantly get feeling that you made right decision despite fear and its blastoff time.
Very scary but so out of this world its unimaginable.

I found that set and setting doesn't matter so much with DMT breakthrought than with like LSD or 2-CE or other longer lasting psychedelics. It rapleces your reality so completely that you don't have anyways time to even try to affect how to trip will go. Of course still caution must be used and good flow before trying is better than shitty mental state.

Alone laying in sofa and some long good prog song playing like pink floyd echoes makes awesome DMT countdown throught to come up to other side.

I have never even eaten magic mushrooms. I've had this a little bit strange philosophy about mushrooms, that I won't take them if I haven't grown or collected from nature those myself.
When these are ready i will take maybe 3 gram dose, I think it will be small enought to handle for first time.

Hope I get a bit easier time than you did :D I have never got bad trip while testing psychedelics and other substances, but I've heard that with cubensis it might be easier to cling on bad thoughts.

I mean, of course I've had challenging trips with very moving and hard thoughts, but not a full blown bad trip yet. Someday it will happen to me too I believe, but I try my best to respect these chemicals and spirituality around the whole use of psychedelics. Gifts from heaven I would say If I was more relogious.

As long as you don't have blue/green/pink/black molds popping up, you should be ok.

If it gets BIGGER then consider getting rid of that particular spawn jar.

No need to buy spores anymore If everything goes as smooth as to this point I'm so happy about that.. Law here is also kinda unclear is it legal or illegal to order plicosybe cubensis spores.

no, because the trick is to pummel the jars against a bike tire(or your palm if you're a man) and break up the grains before transfering them to the substrate...

Im not spawning in cakes. When jars are full of mycelium I spoon them out and mix with coir to spawn in bulk.

I've had better results layering grain with spawn rather than mixing, also putting a sheet of tinfoil over the mix until you see primordia/pinning. Helps create a microclimate.

but how you gonna see through the tinfoil?

A simple later of semi-transluscent cling wrap works just as well, and lets you see the substrate without having to pick up and put down the tinfoil to see whats going on (which also can introduce contaminations to the top as air transfers due to pressure differences between the foiled layer and the outside world)
