He was only the popular packaged version of something created by other, less known artists.
If you don’t get this, then what are you doing on Yea Forums?

Fuck off to where you came from

True, brostep did exist before him, but Skrillex gave it that "punch" to really make it stand out.

ah yes, the classic

>true, dancehall did exist before her, but Rihanna gave it that “punch” to make it stand out

Rage faces are Yea Forums's biggest legacy. Way better than the dumb frog and sad white guy (whom actually came from krautchan).

I don't think he revolutionalized as much as he carved out a particular
niche of the genre.

>Made worse Brostep than Coki, Caspa, 16Bit and Rusko
>Made worse electro House than literally everyone
>Became irrelevant within a year of his first releases

Real revolutionary.

His haircut influenced an entire generation of trannies and art hoes though, to be fair.

>tfw you remember your Skrillex phase

>influences a bunch of fagets who don't matter
Well done to him if true.

>he wasn't just ripping metalheads off

SKRILLEX >>>>> APHEX TWIN

Skrilex was a bandwagon jumping little faggot who paid Spor to teach him production after hearing what Datsik and Excision were putting out.

Datsik and Excision created the brostep genre, all Skrillex did was to make it much gayer and plaster his "personality" all over it.

youtube.com/watch?v=g_8cjKU2ve8 better than anything faggex did

This but unironically

Look at the American and laugh. Although I don't think anyone wants to take credit for creating Brostep.

Where is she?

Who /borgore/ here? As usual, Jews are the true masters of well done electronic music.

I only heard NewGoreOrder which was one of the worst albums I have ever heard

who do you think it was then? spor? noisia?

Jonathan Davis said Korn invented dubstep.

You spelled Noisia wrong

Attached: Noisia.jpg (1200x800, 94K)

Nah not even close, Spor and Noisia were both exceptional D&B producers long before they become exceptionally shit electro House/brostep producers and neither of their careers have recovered since, but I guess they are making money now so well done.

"Officially" people wil say it's Rusko with Cockney Thug but it'd more likely Coki. At least his brostep was actually good.

I think there's going to forever be a serious cultural divide between the US and the UK on the topic of dubstep. It's good though. Regional variety makes things interesting.

Skrillex was indeed great, and his music was more than just "brostep".

>Made worse Brostep than Coki, Caspa, 16Bit and Rusko
Those guys barely made brostep.

he did but not in a monumental way like you might think. he unintentionally kept rave culture alive for the masses and that's about it.

There will be a divide between US and UK on dance music in general since despite it being around for longer in US it didn't doesn't seem to be as popular as it was in the UK. I haven't listened to Dubstep in ages but I still never found much from overseas that I liked that much other than Goth-Trad.

I'm not sure what you'd call this if it's not Brostep

It is at the very least proto-Brostep since when that sort of thing became popular it was still called Dubstep even though it sounds different to earlier Dubstep.

youtube.com/watch?v=7280__uzZus

And it sounded different from Proto-Dubstep/Grime even before that back when roughly everything was called Garage
