Thanks will check them out, have only listened to a bit of Obey so far. Loved the riffs and the tones, but the vocals were a bit too loud in the mix. What's your favourite by them?

Well, I don’t mean unhappiness is a requisite for their music. They are great either way. I just think they do a fantastic job of tapping into some deep dark misanthropy.

I'd say Obey because I got some good memories listening to it years ago, it is also the album that got me into them. But honestly they're all equally good in my eyes.

That's the best part, the biggest problem (especially on the OP album) is that the vocals are mixed too loud. Lyrics and delivery are top tier.

I dont know why but with most bands, especially noise rock or punk bands, they get a catchy and heavy as fuck riff and play it for like 10 seconds while very few bands just let the riff ride out and let the listener enjoy what they're hearing.

Personally thats why i enjoy brainbombs so much, ingenious and rudimentary songwriting with lyrics that are kinda funny because of the accent that fit the overall theme and sound the instrumentals create

Never have I agreed with something so much. Obey needed more trumpets too, the one in drive around are great. It’s honestly such a shame about the mixing.

Brainbombs is in my top 10, I've only seen them mentioned on mu a couple times in past few years. Unfortunately none of the members did anything else except maybe totalitar but idk. Shit slaps tho
