hell yeah, thanks user

listening to pic related

Attached: 6175987ZMKL.jpg (496x500, 72K)

new plastic ideas is better BUT corpse pose from pic related is fucking great

exactly this, based

I wanted to say somethin obvious like" Leaves Turn Inside You is better, but is it? You know, I listened to it so many times and i think loots of people think it's their beast because it's Unwound reimagined. Songwriting is superior, i will not argue, but NPI is more raw, have more catchy songs and comparable cover art. Sorry for grammar im drunk.

and the future of what is best

I mean its practicially a perfect album or the closest thing to it so its kind of in a league of its own so you usually dont include it in this type of stuff
Well its like repitition is everything NPI is but slicker more calculated more mathy but just as noisy and abrasive

Attached: 1493396628353.jpg (500x500, 54K)

Bro you CANNOT tell me anything that unwound is made is better than valentine/kantina/what was on god

this band is underrated as fuck

Attached: 539CCC9D-E74B-4AE0-9A3B-62B67DAF0462.jpg (800x800, 213K)

+ fake train has honourosis n dragnalus,
but I personally think the future of what is more consistent, and a more engaging listen.

Yeah, but noise and abrasiveness is in their DNA. It is really hard to teal which album is greatest when most of them is just good. And yes I agree that LTIY is just so different that you can't really compareit to anythng. BUT SHIT I REALLY LIKE THE INTRO MAN, IT'S SO FUNNY HOW THEY HAVE PULLED IT OF.

It's subjective, i still like Envelope the most

Why is Quicksand considered phc? It just sounds like generic buttrock.

Attached: 1556911848207.jpg (1024x786, 68K)

why screemo is considered post-hardcore?

Attached: Finchsayhello (1).jpg (300x300, 101K)

Not really sure, its just that its the latest devolution of hardcore punk, i would consider post hardcore as just a thing of its own just because of how diverse and varied it is

Like, man you know. I like screaming and shit, but it's too much for me. Loots of times people say to me "user, you know, there is this really good post-hardcore band" And i listen and it's screemo. It's nothing bad, but i want to hear some post hardcr. Screemo is so distinctive that is should be it's own thing. Still drunk, sorry.

Demolished; the entire first half of Challenge for a Civilized Society (Data to Sonata for Loudspeakers); What Went Wrong/Untitled; Fiction Friction; All Souls Day; Swan. All better.

Because at the end of the late 90's moving into the early oughts. There was an emergence of bands that combined the jagged riffing of post hardcore bands with the screaming of screamo and hyper emotional vocals of emo-core. This is a vast over simplification but as this sound became more commercialized and less hectic it kind of just got grouped together as phc.

Yeah, i don't dispute your claim, but still i think that screemo should be it's own thing. Also Shellac is good band. Talking to me is being increasingly fruitless when im opening another beer.

I'm just gonna post this album again. One of the best Post-hardcore(and a bit of Indie-Rock) albums i've heard in years. My AOTY for 2018.

Great melodies, great vocal performances, god like rhythm section, and touching lyrics about the singers deceased father. The songs are just extremely concise and the band is so tight.

Based humposter

>spacey rock
Why doesn't anybody think that this is shoegaze adjacent.

cause space rock is a 70s genretag

shoegaze isnt space rock

very based

You misunderstood me. Why does nobody think HUM are shoegaze adjacent? Not space rock as a whole.

i always thought of them as a hardcore band influenced by shoegaze and alternative

Alright well we all know that the re released self titled album is better than all of them
Well more so with their later work they went more with the shoegazi influence but some of the riffs on youd prefer sound like they came off a metal record

Only good post hardcore album is Fugazi's "The Argument". Change my mind.

>screemo

Kek

Listening to this right now, tighter than a nun
Really good but leaves turn inside you exists so thats kind of a tuff opinion cuh

Yeah i've shilled this album about a dozen times already and have to date gotten one response from a guy who already liked it.

fucking based

My favorite post hardcore record. Please check out Nomeansno!
I'll be honest, I really don't get the hype for repetition. I feel like it's unwound's least interesting record, it doesn't stand out that much compared to the rest. Still good though.

it was unique for its time but i agree it hasn't aged well

I'm the guy who you responded to, I find Leaves to be really overrated

maybe because its essentially post hardcore.

youve never listened to it have you

several times, it sounds more like hardcore punk to me

You're not wrong but i would say it definitely has a post-hardcore influence.
