The guitar effects sound fucking amazing, the production is pretty good and unlike almost every lo-fi bedroom rock artist, this doesnt hurt my ears. big recc.
ok weird but worth checking it out.
loving the guitar. cant hear the voice, u gotta work on your mixing.
Really enjoyable
Deepfried Yea Forums core, finally~! I hate it!
Listened to 'Soul Drop' and I adore the little ghost like squeegee sounds. Sampling that suuuuper soul "ONE uh TWO uh" in this track just makes everything feel so HEAVY and soulful. I do wish that there were some more dynamic ranges in this tracks, really just the softer intro part (which gets reprized later) and the main jam. Would love a super intense patch or a brokedown hype section
Gonna do a set reply in the next couple posts.
A preface: Bedroom lofi is not really my scene. I find lower recording fidelity and out of tune guitars -when used sparingly- an interesting flair in an emotionally deep song. Your mumbled vocals do not lend themselves to lyrical understanding, which means that any sort of appeal found within the rest of the track is limited. Overall I think this is just under-polished and just not quite ready for an audience. If there is some sort of artistic interpretation that I'm missing out on I apologize.
Skilled guitar playing with a lot of really great vocal mixes is the key to my heart. I like this sort of electro neo-funk thing going on as well. The vox clips that are just "ooo" and "ahhh" are done so tastefully and well. I bet you're project timeline has soooooo many little pieces of sound and fragments of recordings to get things just right. Your music sounds intentional, and the final product is super polished and literally -fun- to listen to. Massive recommend.

Go push play on lyrical AK and tell me you don't feel like fucking swimming in the pool. Drown me pool dad. Reccomend
Glad you're back around, wanted to thank you for your tips. Remixed the my drums and re-tracked some like you suggested and I'm 10x happier with the results. Super helpful! Entrepreneurship has been on loop in my apartment. Recommend!
>weeb shit
Unrequited L gets a W. I just wish it was longer. The bounce bass being supplemented with tone plates is a cool idea and the dynamic ranges you expressed kept me interested for a minute and a half and would have for even longer. I also gave Desire a listen and again the bass is really groovy and compliments everything, you even did the cliche choppy quiet//loud thing in a way that wasn't cliche! Even though I'm really sick of vaporware, you're tracks are great. Way more 'Discovery' vibes than 'Macintosh 420'. Choco milk is also great. Reccomend for those thick bass grooves.
I like your music a lot. Today I want to talk about 26 hours. I feel like I am getting the bends this track feel literally under the ocean. Very sparse textures are a great backdrop for those Titanic sized fuzz bursts and when the actual marimba tinted rhythmic track finally comes in and the listener gets comfy you subvert the expectation and scramble everything into a higher frequency jumble of bird song. 26 hours is the audio equivalent of a whale beneath the ocean breaching as hard as it can and I love it. You don't really repeat yourself at all and tell an interesting ambient story. My favorite track of yours, recommend for sure.
Lofi done right. Bright bass holding up the roots sounds great but the highlight for me is the 'Plantasia' like synth work. Such 70's buzzy cute little earthy synths holding up a rather melancholy lofi tune. I normally dislike the sameyness that can be found in lofi as a genre, but you have a definite flavor to your music. Recommend.
Today's thread theme is water. You have so much cool percussion on 'demolition **'. The little drum sounds are so wet and the snare is so crunchy. Really hard hitting broken beat stuff that still has a 'groove' and can be jammed too even by plebs. Great work! I also really like the super chime-y feeling and happiness you drenched the track 'griltalk' in. Unique and interesting works.
I got a new kick mic and have some tom mics on the way right now. I'm going to be re-recording the drums this week. Also planning to experiment with running the final mixes through my reel to reel, slightly saturated. Stay tuned!

Thanks for your critique, I haven't thought about the songs that much. I know they aren't ready for an audience.
HELLO
Do you know in some SM64 custom hacks how some people use the sound pallet from the original game to make a track? 'YUH' sounds like that. Hundreds of little pieces and sounds from many realms all come together to do this little dance for the listener. Toby fox-esque. I feel like I've seen a forbidden dance of little bells and anime characters with my ears and I am changed by it. Do you draw these faces? you're cool I like you. Recommend.
August Aghast, the idea of a haunted ballroom is a pretty cool concept for a track. I think this would work really well for the end credits of a horror film. It just sounds very much like 'The end' to me. I love the vox samples and I understand why you would tag this as "romantic" but I don't think I can explain why I agree with such a tag. You're compositional abilities impresses me beyond measure time and time again. A true gem in these threads. Up there in the upper echelon, always looking forward to more. Recommend with all my might.
>flow and pronunciation feedback.
I am not qualified by any means. If I heard this rapping outside of the context of this thread I would assume it was someone in a bedroom doing their own recording. You sound sort of blown out or low fidelity. recording quality aside I enjoy mellow monotone raps, Milo is my favorite by and large and you and him have similar flows. I do think you sound a little low energy or maybe like you're trying to keep it down, I always prefer a little more STANK or emotion. But it's all taste and perspective. Good luck on the new project!
Candy is a neon, cakey and incredibly rich dream pop track. I feel like the synths and guitar are the stars of the show held down by that drum loop. I love the waves at the end with a slow fade out of just the guitar. The only thing I can say with any constructive merit at all is that I would love the vox louder in the mix, but I don't make dream-pop and IDK if that wrecks it.
Thanks for checking the track out, Scam. and yea, I agree with you fully, but everything you said will be better on the new project cause, I mean, it's been 5 years since I recorded and mixed that track, so y'know, I know better now.
still gonna keep it bedroom level quality to some degree cause it's comfier that way.
and the low energy thing is true cause english isn't my first language and I didn't want to fuck the recording up by blurting nonsense. I'm way more self-confident now tho.

Finished WASTE up and goddamn friend, what a spectacle. I appreciate all the love you've been giving me lately and it comes with an even greater weight after listening to an actual disk length project of yours. I don't want to just endlessly gush as I have in threads prior, but I've been gong back through some noise albums I really love after listening to waste and I haven't done that for years, so thanks DMN. The last track 'wastend' is short, sweet, and even rhythmically accessible to normies. Recommend a lot.
Mug is wholesome and I'm running out of things to say about it. Listen to it!
Only thing I think could help this track is if you just tracked one vocal track for the sung parts- There's just a lot of different voices going on in that first essential moment on the track. The slow mix at the end is some great work with all the warped EQing and pitch changes.
I've listened to literally everything in these threads for months at time and this is still one the projects that excites me the most. I love the game, I love the heaviness you drench everything with, I love your solos, I love this track, I love the eddie brock track.
>our bad?
>OUR BAD?!
Kino, Recommend like Carnage would want me too.
I really want to here the LA lakers song finished. The solos and the very vocal line that you repeat with that crisp cool clean tone it just gives me such feelings of flight and love and sunsets. Great playing and many cool jam ideas. Recommend.
I would have never guessed that english wasn't your first language, damn. You rap a lot better than me and I'm a native speaker kek. Hope you bring the new project here when it's ready- looking forward to it!
>ambient track
Cool bouncy snares and the flutes work really well, that being said I'm not really sure if this is 'Ambient' and not like just some sort of other flavor of EDM. Liked it but I wish it was longer and a little more fleshed out
Mellow bright sound. I like the chord changes. It's always cool hearing a fresh release.
Definitely good music for a boss fight. The samples fit really well into the tune. Is there any EQ on the guitar?
I don't remember xanax being big in the early ninties. Is it really like '91 if you aren't doing heroin?
The first tune wahey sounds good. I feel like bird going upwards has some really nice key synths. I like the composition and some of the weird effects but I wish the production was a bit better so there was more clarity.
Recc
Really big sound. Vocals are a tad quiet IMO but seems like a stylistic choice. Your voice is really smooth.
I'm obviously biased but I like your folky/rock stuff more. Is Ketamine good with LSD? I always took acid alone for the clarity.
There's a lot going on here. It is really wet. Sounds good.
It's really hard to place the influence of this to one decade. It sounds like you have a lot of different influences. It sounds both really modern and really 90's. I like your vocals. Sounds really confident and clean.
Relaxing. The bells are a nice touch. Definitely some island feel.

I found out I'm on RYM last night, give me a nice rating?
I like the synth sounds you're and definitely feel the retro vibe a tone. I wish that things were mixed, everything sounds really even and straight ahead mono. Some stereo and fading/reverb would make everything sound much sleeker in my opinion. Tons of potential.
Hugely talented, great presence in the threads here.
ket and acid go hand in hand.
Thank you!
I always felt like acid was a really clean high and any other drug just dirtied it. Even pot with it made it less clean. It's really interesting how it effect hearing overtones, individual notes in chords, and other subtle things for me. I love the clarity of acid by itself. To each their own I guess.
I'm not sure I've ever run into anyone else who knew plantasia. You seem to listen to a lot of different stuff. Feel free to PM me reccs anytime.
Monsoon creates a great environment. Hard not to groove along to. Has a nice build to it. Great synth and drum tones.
I see you every thread. You have some great riffs. Can't wait to hear your new drum sound! I'm already following you on my repost feel free to PM me any new tracks you release! I feel at times the vocals get a little quiet.
The synths have a really shiny sound to them. you have some great textures. The tune has great flow.
you're probably older than me. I just like getting fucked up
Thanks a lot Thom. I'm going to use more vocal compression to mitigate them getting a little quiet at times in some songs. I'm looking forward to hearing how the new kick and tom mics help too. The kit itself is a cheapo trash one, so I may end up getting a new kit soon, too. I'm going to see what I can do with it first, though.
I've written a lot of music on shrooms, never tried writing/playing music on acid hmm.
Also, yeah fucking plantasia is kino, I listen to a ton of music by volume because
neet lmao
I don't play guitar, but people I know who can play and with whom I've taken acid with always blow my mind away. do it, scam
Hello, I'd love some feedback on this track if you have time, I'm newish to mixing/mastering
soundcloud.com
Great drums, sounds like blade runner with a cool beat.
I like this, I gave you some feedback in the other thread, as well.
Cool guitar playing. Are you double tracking? doesn't sound like it, and it might help flesh out the soubnd a little bit. How much EQ are you doing?
Like it a lot. Super chill, I followed you. sounds like a warm summer day
I am not double tracking. I've thought about doing so, but haven't gotten around to it. My multitrack only has 3 band EQ. There's some applied, but there's no final master EQ.

your voice sounds wayyyy too forced on most of the songs. stop trying to give yourself some deep growl and sing naturally.
definitely not something that's done on here too often. i feel like you just need to work on the mix. your voice is too far down and there's not enough bass.
your music is still so good. you should do film scores.
Still sounds good, the fundamentals are there. I just thinki f you could double track the guitar, it would sound beefier, and if you could fiddle about with the EQ a little more, the instruments would sit in the mix a little better. But it still sounds good, as is
I think thats a good call. I know they have bass riders that adjust it to the mix automatically. I wonder if they have something like that for vocals as well. I'd assume so.
I found writing on acid to be hard. I could solo or play stuff I knew but had trouble remembering and putting something new together. It definitely changed my mindset enough that it changed how I write sober though.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree the mix is bad and the ending sucks, I'm gonna remix soon. Your stuff is beautiful, not a bad thing about it. Supremely relaxing yet sensual. God bless
