I always feel like I'm shit at giving recs but I'll do my best
Your stuff's a bit too classy for me to have heard it tbqhwy. I should get back into jazz -- I never got too deep into it and I'm probably missing out on tons of albums I'd love.
Also, I've actually never listened to Play, what do you (and anyone else reading this) think of it? It was really well-liked by critics but I never really hear many real people's opinions on it (no, critics aren't real people).
Reccing Dorothy Ashby - The Rubaiyat of Dorothy Ashby as one of my favorite jazz albums and probably the most obscure among them (though even then she and the album aren't particularly obscure -- again, I'm a bit of a jazz scrub).
Hardly know any of these but I'm reccing Game Theory - Lolita Nation (but really their whole discography).
Haven't listened to any of these if you can believe it. I do like some stuff from The Flaming Lips but haven't listened to their pre-Soft Bulletin music. What're your thoughts on Clouds Taste Metallic and Priest Driven Ambulance (and any other ones before TSB you like)?
Reccing The Fred Banana Combo - FBC (1981)
Sorry not going to try to guess a band/album to rec by trying to discern what you've been into lately with all those albums. And what's with the X-ed out ones? albums you didn't like?
Will say I'm glad to see Nnamdi Ogbonnaya getting listened to. Pimpred DROOL like crazy when it came out.
Random really good album rec if you haven't heard it: Pepe Deluxe - Spare Time Machine
Mine is still the original and best. Even if last.fm is actively trying to destroy it.
what do you think of stroer bros?
the souljazz orchestra - rising sun
melting euphoria - inside the gardens of the mind
darkside - psychic
rose kemp - unholy majesty
messa - a feast of water
ambersmoke - gloom tapestries
wrong
don't you have some generic mucore to be listening to you absolute rube
How is last.fm trying to destroy it?
x'ed out ones are albums that dont belong, either double albums due to my transition from spotify to apple music, albums with only a few songs that i actually listen to from it, things i was playing for people who are not myself or stuff i wouldnt really reccomend. my listening taste is all over the place and if you do want a smaller chart i got you, we can even take this convo to dms on record since i really do appreciate the "out of way"ness you showed with this post.
also someone from Yea Forums put me on with drool and im still looking for them.
thanks for the rec too ill check it out
shut up retard, although cool beans on the suicidal tendecies (IVE GOT A WAR!!!!! INSIDE MY HEAD!)
i dont know your chart well enough to give you a rec back but thank you ill check it out
clouds taste metallic is good, priest driven ambulance is ok but not my favorite
my personal favorites of their pre-soft bulletin work are telepathic surgery and transmissions from the satellite heart, i recommend them thoroughly
start with my aim is true, continue chronologically
pros:
>row/column options
>speed
reasons it is a piece of shit that i will not use for these threads
>text automatically resizes to unreadably small if the album tags are long
>ugly ass drop shadow on every other tile????
stop shilling it until these are fixed
5x5 is fucking so gay i want more fucking music recs
also people already love to post charts without the album to get the satisfaction of having people ask what the title is so
and the third point isnt even a point
I appreciate moby honestly. I've seen him a couple times live and he puts on a really good show. and as said porcelain is a nice track.
quality>quantity
i dont wanna see 5000 albums on someones collage, im not even gonna bother looking at it
and people who post collages/charts without album names are giant faggots
