Because it's shit.

this

Because normies can't handle it

because IT'S A PIECE OF FUCKING SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

Because streaming services suck and you shouldn't be using them.

Even if there is something to be said about the insanity of the composition, the quality of the recording diqualifies it from being something more than 240p video on yt.

>Music has to be high quality recording

Post amazing music recorded in terrible quality that holds up.

gatekeeping

>The quality of the recording disqualifies it from being something more than 240p video on ytp
You seem to be noting Trout Mask Replica as something with low quality recording, so I'll cite that as something which still holds up.

recording quality plays a big factor (although not the sole factor) in whether someone can enjoy a piece of music.

Would you prefer to hear a singer recording on his phone in a crowded bathroom, or in a professional studio? Chances are you are inclined to pick the latter.

Poorfag

Touché

Depends on how the musician wants his song to sound. If the song is good and the poor recording adds to the aesthetic he was going for then it's fine.

Why the fuck couldn’t he go back to Frownland?

Cause he cannot go back to your land of gloom
Where black jagged shadows
Remind him of the coming of your doom
He wants his own land

Because the type of plebs that use Streaming Services wouldn't understand it.

this is an absolutely mental thing to say
bluepilled

Frank Zappa's estate wouldn't allow the album to be on streaming services

I found here some Radiohead/(c)rap music fans

Zappa is on Spotify though

>if it's not my old ass crap, it's rap
typical dadrocker

A recurring message over Don Van Vliet's studio albums has been to promote introspection, reflection, and patience. Beefheart's music rewards--aurally, visually, emotionally--those who are able to slow down, take a step back from the world, and be alone with their own thoughts for a while. As an artistic medium, the music album has always lent itself nicely to this pursuit. In times past, it was common to purchase an album, take it home, put it on, and spend the evening listening to the music, reading the liner notes, having a drink and letting the music itself guide your thoughts. This is, in a very small way, an act of self-discovery.

This is the kind of experience that he has always endorsed, one that isn't possible with the superficial, a la carte distribution model currently favored by the music industry. And even if it were the case that you could only stream albums from online vendors in their entirety--should the artist find it preferable--there are still too many distractions nowadays (and not enough self-discipline) in the form of smart phones and social networking and such to allow most people to make it through an hour-long album from start to finish without being pulled out of the experience every few minutes.

By not allowing his music to be played on Spotify, Beefheart has effectively drawn a line in the sand to say that he want his music to be experienced as it was intended or not at all.

yeah, but they wouldn't allow TMR on streaming services for whatever reason

yeh pretty much all of his other albums exept TMR are on there so your complely wrong and made that entire load of shit up

Being poor is spending 9 bucks a month to listen to albums that labels will ALLOW you to listen to. Streaming services are the epitome of poverty. Real music fans buy albums.

With some genres the shitty quality and sloppy musicianship is part of the appeal

I fucking hate dadrock cause it's shit, but also hate (c)rap music because it's shit
