yeah, but its also the gayest
it's just riffs played on an electric guitar. wow, so varied
Because the definition is so loose.
I actually don't listen to metal almost at all. But I don't know why, today I plan on getting into it more, because so far I liked all metal albums I heard.

>knowing this little about metal
kys
Scaruffi is such a fucking troll
Comibg up with new sub-genre names =/= a varied genre
>
>biggest
yes
>most varied
no. jazz and classical are more varied
well the riffs can be slower or faster, the drums can be slower and faster, that's how we get death black doom thrash metal
No, the vocals are also have an important role as well as production
Wow chords played on a twangy clean electric guitar so varied
I know
>no no you don't understand shitcore is completely different from shittened fart metal
>in one the screams are shrill and grating, in the other they're abrasive and irritating
>also one has lyrics about death and satan and the other about belzebub and murder
>w-what do you mean in other genres this would just be the difference between two bands and not two sub-genres??
>
Black metal?
Grindcore?
You could say it's pointless to call it a genre when it's so varied that very little differentiates much of it from hard rock and a lot of "genres" are either unrecognizable as metal (hardcore punk maybe?)
Especially any shit with a name ending in -core. Not metal. Stop calling it metal. You have a distorted guitar, yes, but stop trying to hang onto the popularity of things that actually sound somewhat nice. Even early black metal is less offensive to the ears than shit like fartcore.
>Songs for the Deaf
>Toys in the Attic
>metal
Lmao
Does that old man even know what metal is?
Holy shit. No. Rock is the biggest and most varied genre of music you fucking twit.
although rock is my favorite, metal is more varied, and that's an objective truth
metal is a type of rock. also the most varied genre is obviously folk
I'd say audible music is.
If "electronic" is a genre than its pretty clearly that.
How's metal not a subgenre of rock?
