just got through my first listen, I'm a huge vw fag and consider all of their previous albums 10s
my quick takes are that this is good but not as good as their previous works, the singles are better in the context of the album, the danielle haim songs fucking suck, best non single songs are bambina, my mistake, and sympathy, ends on a bit of a weak note w/ the last few songs (though spring snow and j,ny,b are alright)
overall I still like it a lot and it's honestly growing on me already as I relisten to stuff

Varied production styles (not sure gimmicky is the word I'd use) and echoes were prominent on mvotc. Also, I hear exactly zero field recordings on this thing apart from a sample of birdsong. Rostam's solo work sounds ten times more uninspired than this.
