the problem user is that modern psychedelic music is far too self aware and nothing but self congratulation, lacking any touch of genius. the truth is that great psychedelic music is to be found in many other genres, but mainstream psychedelic as a genre no longer exists. it was a moment in time

in truth, i havent listened to a whole lot of their music. some of congratulations but not a whole lot else. kinda made an assumption based on the other bands.
as a starter, some psychedelic bands are Spacemen 3 (and spiritualized), 13th Floor Elevators, and unironically early Butthole Surfers. They typically use direct themage or inspiration from psychedelics and tend to have a certain freak-out vibe lots of stuff now just doesnt really have imo.
