yeah! I actually used to use Apple Music too, because it pays artists slightly better. But i switched to a pixel 2 from an iphone and apple music worked awful off of Apple software so I switched to spotify.

These kicks are fucking great- But your vox really make the track. You've got a lot of range, when I hear zombie broads and then listen to this heavier stuff I'm amazed at how much of your voice you still punch through with the guttural style. Envious of being able to write music like this, great work as always Mr. beaver.

Cool idea, vocal work is at least clever, the guitar solo around ~1:20 is a pretty big improvement. I'm from the pacific northwest and can't listen to this track very objectively because it's very very overplayed here. Bars and radio stations, even sporting events and stuff. Not even a huge nirvana fan, but I enjoyed this as far as covers go.

I missed that mustached broom, it's good to see you around. Eyelid is a hell of a track, I enjoy the bass line, very organic in an otherwise seedy sort dark motif. Lose high hats are nice and add some arrhythmic zest and atmosphere. Vox is the highlight for me, around 2:05 in particular with that little bit of a high note and then rests. Really punctuates that that emotional few seconds.

This is a traditional folk song from the 1700s. I based mine on Iris Dements version. The melody is modal and really only falls over two chords, so coming up with a guitar accompaniament has been challenging.

I only record one-take, one-mic songs to stay true to the live nature of folk music, which means its very hard not to have some mistakes in recordings.

I hope people enjoy.

I use he soundcloud app and a samsung phone. There seems to be some kind of auto-compression thats pretty darn useful. I put duct tape over the soundhole and put the mic closer to my face, because flat picking is louder than singing for me.
