Chuck's back with the fucking grooves- damn. Cool percussion on around the world. Love that funky af bass. Always a treat when you post. The vocal samples are cool as fuck however the sonic stopping really fast sound gives me anxiety. Life inside the crystal palace sets the tone with the shouting and pizzicato strings and harp sounds, I also never thought I'd hear a kawai squee used as percussion like that, so that's pretty cool I think?

My first time listening to you; WEAFF has some cool warm vibrato string samples that I really like, I do wish they were mixed a little more forward but I get putting the boom and the bap front and center like that, more of a genre gripe that a problem with your track. 86 is much more palatable to a relative normie type listener like myself and I enjoyed the rainy laid back nature of the track. Looking forward to you posting some more complete ideas however.

A cool motif but one detail I can't stand is the tracks namesake 'Haze'. The white noise layer is just particularly grating on this track and I think it might be the way I'm listening to your music but it's just such a treble heavy hiss. I do like the bass playing and vocal work, however the guitar is maybe a little aimless for my tastes.

I listened to the 29.04.19 trilogy and I feel that your strength is really in the way you're able to build suspense with only a couple of moving parts. With just like a splutter and a smack and some kicks I get a very good sense of the cadence of your tracks. I think personally I like 1>3>2. 1 makes me really just wanna go fast and zoom around my apartment which I dig.

unfortunately i can't do anything about the white noise. this is someone i work with sometimes where she sings for me or I do some improvising jams over her tracks and she records everything from her phone so it's just inevitable. and i record everything on a $20 microphone
i'm not good at mixing or mastering but i did everything i could to dial back the treble too.
what about the guitar do you find aimless if i may ask? there is a repeating arpeggio over her chords, so that's constant, but i am trying to improvising little lead licks in the blank spaces. am i overdoing those a bit too much?
i remember i listened to your stuff before even though i don't post often and i got nothing else to say other than it's all around very impressive. i wish i could give some other feedback but idk

Hey no need for feeling bad, feedback is secondary. No worries. My only tip for mixing stuff is something you're certainly aware of and it's recording techniques. If you don't mind missing out on how your amp colors your sound I really recommend a Usb audio peripheral of some sort. Not a lot you can do if she's recording her vocals remotely- pretty understandable. Her vox are pretty good and the texture is actually sort of cool. As far the the meandering in the guitar it's just an occasional loss of tempo. For instance right at 30 seconds you do a few you hit a few E's and you're just pretty far behind the beat. Very relaxed way of playing, which is not incorrect by any means but since the female VOX is so slippery and wishy washy already sort of drifting from lyric to lyric with little diction, I think the guitar should have a little bit of rhythm to it. Anti-soupy measure so that way there is some nice structure. Hope that makes any sense at all.
