I'm not huge into music but I have enjoyed the antics of certain rock and roll personalities. In recent years though it seems like the ones I like have been on a downward spiral due to drugs and age. It's been dissapointing and I'm trying to listen to there older stuff but was interested if anyone else has annecdotes from this happening to them.
Does anyone have any stories about seeing there favorite musicians lose their luster or move past there prime?
Pic related is the musician I'm talking about but figured I needed a pic.
I saw Brian Wilson a few years ago and it was just sad, you could tell his heart wasn’t into it and he mentally just seemed in a bad place. I really hope he’s still touring because he wants to and not because people are pushing him into it.

Robert Smith is 60 years old you fucking retard. Of course he doesn't look as good as the pic on his left where he's young.
Xavier Watson
he should've cut the drugs, had a healthier diet and exercised.

JUST
Wyatt Thompson
Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, NIN - all sucked after Y2K.
Radiohead is the ohly band from that era that consistently puts out quality content to this day.
guys like Kurt Cobain had the right idea to kill themselves when they were young. you go out on top and never do the most uncool thing you can do as a rock star.... GET OLD!
Jason Davis
fun fact, my dad went to a Manson concert not too long ago. He said it was one, if not the worst concert he'd ever been to. He said the music sounded like shit, and when he and his buddy managed to get right in front, he had a moment of realization of "why am I still here?" and left.

Performing is sort of therapeutic for him and it helps him forget his inner demons.

did smith use drugs? i always assumed he was a heavy-drinker, but nothing harder than that.

I saw John Maus two months ago and you can tell something was off and has been off since his brother passed away. He ended the show on And Heaven Turned To Her Weeping and walked off in tears. Hurts to see him like that and I really hope hes hanging in there.
Jaxon Lopez
he spent most of 1983 absolutely out of his mind on acid. listen to blue sunshine by the glove if you haven't. he also got into it again while he was writing the songs for disintegration
