Been on Yea Forums since I was 26 or 27 and was already familiar with (and grown out of) most of the stuff we call "Yea Forums-core" albums before I came here. TMR is the only one that I still love. A handful more I like but not nearly as much. The rest is shit that I haven't liked since I was a freshman in college or never liked at all.
3-4 years later and I still haven't gotten a single good rec. Most people here have awful taste and all of the music I've gotten into since I started posing has been stuff that influenced the artists that I already liked and which I discovered through my own research.
The classical and jazz generals are usually the only threads of any value here and the best artist I learned about through Yea Forums who I hadn't heard of before is Viper the rapper. This place is a cesspool. I'm not thanking any of you assholes.
>thanks to whoever posted this in the name thread, it wasnt even my name
You're welcome! Stoked you liked it!
you're the retard for thinking some random teenager is going to hook you up with good music. last decent rec i got was palm - ostrich vacation
scaruffi has given me so many good ones
can you recommend me album?
and I'm not going to call what you suggest shit,
I've seen a lot of stuff on Yea Forums I've been disappointed in but I'd like to hear what you like
sounds like YOU are the problem m8
I remember when I used to browse this site and board often and the one conversation I had was with someone recommending this album and some other stuff, and thank you whoever you are for the suggestion.
soft graffiti was my fav song from this album
i don't visit this board but i'm just here on this one odd day, heres something i doubt you've heard
youtube.com
it only linked the single video and not full album so
I didn't know this place was full of underages when I started posting and I'm still here because nobody ever truly leaves.
Most of my favorite music was written between 1908 and ~1930. My favorite musician is Anton Webern.
I don't listen to nearly as many albums as I used to, but I will always like the first 3 by PiL, the last 3 by Scott Walker, both This Heat LPs, Musik von Harmonia and Zuckerzeit, and lots of jazz, especially from the early-mid 60s. My favorite band is probably Kraftwerk, Roxy Music, or Throbbing Gristle. If I had to pick a favorite album it would be Metal Box which I didn't like at all when I first started listening to it at 18 or 19, but was obsessed with by 23.
insufferable: the post
Who ever recommend maudlin of well part the 2nd thank you
To the user who posted girlfriend by the modern lovers:

Most of the Yea Forums recs I got and enjoyed are from back in like 09/10 so the guys who supplied them are likely long gone. Thanks to them anyway though.
This is a nice jazz fusion album someone shared back in 2012, still come back to it often at 4am.
On your death bed, there will be dad rock on the radio, and you will shed a tear for all the wasted years

It was in a Yea Forums thread about game related bands like forever ago and I was busy listening to some normie shit at the time but like a few months later I saw this album in a recommendation list from youtube and thought why not. I'm now on my 1000th listen probably and am currently listening to it so thank you random user.
