any other zoomers here really sad that you will never experience the late 00s and early 10s hipster online music blog and forum culture?

Lol imagine being a zoomer and thinking it was the late 00s early 10s that were good and not the early to mid 00s

I'm more sad I spent too much of my adolescence being a snob and not having fun with friends listening to Black Eyed Peas and shit

You know zoomers with older siblings will be saying the same thing in 10 years about your generation when they're also 10 years behind socially

Late 00s-early 10s were the zoomer childhood era.

Funny that people now miss the late 00s-early 10s, I distinctly remember forums at the time saying they were the "downfall into shit era".

Fellow zoomer here,

I don't think we missed out on much OP.

2006 onwards was pretty shit desu

core millenial here
desu gamecube had better games than N64 besides zelda
the gamecube versions of super smash and mario kart were way better than the n64 versions

you got cucked by life, have fun living in the post-apocalyptic shithole of a culture you zoomers are left with

No they won't because zoomers let all their liberal retard public school teachers talk then into selling out the internet.

kinda, but I mean theres still talking to your friends about the music that you just found out about and trying to show them it (even though they usually hate it lol)

Well for Zoomers, it was good

bump

yeah i mean as a zoomer, like everyone i get older I realize how little control i really have and how fucked over alot of people are. I feel guilty for it. Part of me wishes i could return back to my old self but I know that such an existence would be unfulfilling. I miss 2016 alot honestly

id rather die alone than listen to the black eyed peas

Imagine wanting to experience gay soiboi with ukulele and animal collective indie culture of the 10s. The 00s were a disaster for radio music and the 10s followed up with the worst decade for indie music yet

In their consolation, i often wished back then that i had lived earlier to see the great non-online scenes of the 90s

You guys really missed out. I was front and center to prime St. Annie, AnCo, Girls, Wavves, etc. I emailed best coast through her Myspace page right after she released The Sun was High (and so was I), and she mailed me a literal demo cassette tape, she was super stoked anyone even wanted it. Also, I miss pre-instagram girls

I was born in 2000 and i remember a lot of this shit pretty vividly. Newgrounds, forums, etc. Not before say 2006/2007 of course but it seems like a lot of people dont remember shit from before they were like ten years old which is trange.
redpill is things are and have been on a constant downturn since probably world war one, people are going to idealize the current era same as we did the past. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't muh wrong generation but more muh wrong timeline.

You really didnt miss much. Imagine Yea Forums today but worse and that pretty much sums it up

I am

how the fukc can you miss two years ago?

Yeah yeah and back then everyone complained how shit Yea Forums became supposedly

I probably went to 300 shows in the 90’s, and I felt bad that I’d missed the NY and Manchester post punk scene.

And I remember saying as much to a guy that basically lived at CBGB’s in its prime and he told me he always felt bad about missing the early garage scene.

Don’t be sad you avoided the worst time for pop in history

all the fucking time

who gives a fuck? people will always create good shit and people will always create garbage. the point is to filter out the latter and move the fuck forward.

>you will never experience the late 00s and early 10s hipster online music blog and forum culture
implying was a good era

disagree, as a boomer I see the 2005-early 2010's as shit but actually mid 2010's has been pretty based. It's like we went through a decade of absolute trash but now we're getting backed to cool shit

late zoomer here
experienced 2010 onwards
feels good

Wait how old are all of you people in this thread?

>You faggot underagedb& in this thread didn't get to experience the Death Grips ARG
Might as well kill yourselves

People say this about every era that's not theirs

I'm and I will be 30 this year

>he missed out on the 2011+ vaporwave/youtube/bandcamp era of underground music
when your heads in the past the present passes you by

i’m 19 am i a zoomer?

also 2015 was the best year for music

I saw the Stones live in 66 and wish I was a beatnik desu

Make something new instead of being sad about some old shit you probably wouldn't have liked anyway.

The overwrought post-grunge and nu metal of the early to mid 2000s truly was awful. I’d argue it’s worse than all the things Yea Forums hates right now (Greta Van Fleet, imagine dragons, etc.)

late 00s Yea Forums was kino, early 10s were a mixed bag but mostly terrible. mbdtf ruined this board

I was there and at the time I wished I was part of late 90s hipster culture.

>I distinctly remember forums at the time saying they were the "downfall into shit era".
social media shot up and quickly turned to shit, it was evident that vidya/hollywood was going to tank (and obviously it has)

the things that have gone to shit now are things we took for granted about the internet online then, i.e forums not being totally gone (ahomogenization the internet), internet policing/social media and political/sjw bullshit injected into fucking everything

the internet was innocent and you could actually escape back then, everything feels serious and like an extension of the real world now.

>Funny that people now miss the late 00s-early 10s, I distinctly remember forums at the time saying they were the "downfall into shit era".
they were right we are now into that era

>I was born in 2000 and i remember a lot of this shit pretty vividly. Newgrounds, forums, etc. Not before say 2006/2007 of course
Man imagine not remembering anything before 2006/7. You completely missed out on the last good years zoomer.

ive literally been posting here since the age of 10, so no

>i was born in the wrong generation

ah yeah. havent seen one of these threads since the mid 10s. really takes me back...

I loved living through the early 00s post-hardcore and emo scene. It was great flicking through albums in record stores and buying whatever. Sometimes what you bought sucked, sometimes it was great. But it was a fun ride finding out. The gigs were great. People were there to have a good time and dig the music, not record it on their phones for IG. People were in the moment. Sure, there were posers then too, but they weren't as bad as now.

But it's an Internet culture thing, too. It was fun finding all sorts of new sites to hear the band news. Now everything is dominated by one or two sites and it's fucking boring.

tldr; the past was cool. Wish I had read more zines. Live shows suck these days. Shoulda dated more emo chicks while they were about.

Retarded ass zoomer
>Wishes he could be nostalgic for a time he never knew

wena nido

>things are and have been on a constant downturn since probably world war one
Let me guess, you also think women shouldn't vote and civil rights were a mistake, right?
