Does Yea Forums know that's considered a pseud board by the intellectual powerhouses of Yea Forums, namely /sci/, Yea Forums, and /his/?
Basically we all think of the term "Yea Forums" as secondhand for posturing teenagers who think they're clever because they trade "ironic" (meaningless) twitter memes and listen to hip hop so bad that not even black people enjoy it.
If you guys actually enjoyed listening to and discussing music we might think better of you, but it's clear that you all think of albums like fashion accessories
you can come post in my threads and then I ll fuck you up, bitch.
Gabriel King
true actually
Joseph Morris
it's true that Yea Forums uses music as a fashion accessory, but if you dont believe people desire to hate and dismiss certain genres like hip hop is just part of another fashion as well, then you're just the same and havent checked yourself
William Bailey
Yea Forums hates Hemingway you doofus. Also, there are plenty of Yea Forums memes, all of which are much funnier than spamming "gusic xdd" and Billie Eilish over and over again
Speaking as someone who holds a PhD in a STEM field and is an amateur musician who enjoys most genres this entire website is trash. >implying this isn't bait I'm bored and taking a shit give me a break
Jaxon Bell
>speaking as someone who Gonna need proof when you go with the "speaking as someone" meme, it's a widely-recognised cheap trick used to add weight to one's point/argument — you may be genuine, but proof is still required, otherwise you are cancelled from the discussion
Charles Morgan
ur a sood

Yea Forums was always terrible and it's only gotten worse with time
John Reed
it's all true, holy fuck Yea Forums btfo

>Yea Forums >posturing teenagers who think they're clever
This is literally all of Yea Forums
However the fact that OP made this thread to talk about the "intellectual powerhouses of Yea Forums" and how they think less of Yea Forums (which there is zero evidence for btw) makes OP and his message look pathetic, thereby elevating Yea Forums above the other aforementioned boards
Gavin Jenkins
HOLY FUCKING BASED user
Zachary Perez
if you use Yea Forums you're a posturing teenager who thinks they're clever, including and especially OP for thinking he's smarter than everyone else

/sci/ is full of flat earthers and similar retards/trolls (hard to tell them apart nowadays) Yea Forums is if anything even more pseud than we are /his/ is just /pol/ with less swearing
Owen Harris
>Yea Forums >posturing teenagers who think they are clever by making a generalized statement about the sentiment behind shitposters
This is literally all of Yea Forums.
However, the fact that user made this post to talk about the fact that OP made this thread to talk about the "intellectual powerhouses of Yea Forums" and how they think less of Yea Forums (which there is zero evidence for btw) makes OP and his message look pathetic, thereby elevating Yea Forums above the other aforementioned boards, makes this poster and his message look pathetic, thereby elevating himself and the other aformentioned posters.

I haven't browsed /sci/, but I know for a fact that Yea Forums and /his/ are as autistic as Yea Forums, if not more so.
Colton Hernandez
AHAHAHAHA THIS BACKFIRED FOR YOU IN A BIG WAY U DUMB FUCKING PSEUD AHAHAHAHA
INTELLECTUAL POWERHOUSES AHAHAHAHA WHERE ARE THEY NOW??? AHAHAHAHA
when forming your opinion of Yea Forums, you have to keep in mind- 1. Being a “part” of Yea Forums doesn’t require anything. This means that membership only requires you to consistently come back here. 2. Yea Forums ideally shouldn’t be defined by any genre/artist, but unfortunately memes have become the norm. This is important because it signals a shift in users (which has really been occurring the last 6 years). Less diversity. 3. Because there is a growing sense of “community” here, the conversation suffers. People are more inclined to belong than they are to offer anything.
Jeremiah Richardson
>being a part of Yea Forums doesn't require anything It does, it requires oneself to sacrifice one's free time by spending it browsing the catalogue and familiarising oneself with the meme culture specific to Yea Forums — because you can't be a part of Yea Forums without recognising and understanding the meme culture, otherwise you'd unwittingly fall into traps laid by true members, thereby exposing yourself as a non-member and receiving abuse accordingly — being a part of Yea Forums requires you to spend time familiarising yourself with the specific irony and ironic signposts which adorn the road travelled by most threads >membership only requires you to consistently come back here Membership also requires you to not get banned, because if you get banned then you can no longer "consistently come back here" — therefore membership also requires an understanding of the rules in place on Yea Forums — if you violate these rules then you will be banned (i.e. have your membership temporarily/permanently terminated) >Yea Forums ideally shouldn't be defined by any genre/artist Nothing ideally should be anything less than perfect insofar as perfection in this circumstance is defined by a watertight moral code (usually upheld by progressive western societies) and a pursuit of truth — point is discarded because it talks about an ideal without proposing a plan as to how to achieve that ideal; the ideal is not even suggested to be feasible >unfortunately memes have become the norm This is true of all boards and all of internet culture, memes are great and they don't get in the way of proper debate because there are always people looking for such and the internet is so huge that they end up finding each other, including and especially on Yea Forums The fact that you use the word "unfortunately" to describe the state of the memesphere tells me that you are a lazy philistine
Juan Phillips
Yes. People who obsess over musicians are spiteful little faggots. If only they loved the people IRL as much as they loved their music people.

I come here to talk about music not because I'm intelligent
James Campbell
I don’t post about mucore and spam albums that I like that rarely get responses on the off chance it leads to a discussion, which it does sometimes. If that’s a fashion statement
>it signals a shift in users The same users who were there before are still here now — the difference is that today the number of new users (and proponents of meme culture) outweighs the number of old ones, who are left to writhe in wrinkled fury >there is a growing sense of "community" here The sense of community is equally a sense of dissimilarity and anarchy — users on Yea Forums and Yea Forums generally only feel together because they sense in others the mutual feeling of wanting to break apart, and indeed they do with shitposting and memes — there is no real community on here, not according to the standard definition of community (and since you fail to offer an alternative definition, we have to accept the standard) >the conversation suffers I'm afraid it does not, it's never been better >People are more inclined to belong than they are to offer anything People on Yea Forums hate to belong, they are inclined to disagree and spark conflict, from which arises new ideas and creative thinking, which are all good things that advance the conversation
Hope this helped user :) x

I’ve seen a lot of pathetic shit on here’s, but the fact that there are people like you who take a shit posting music board this seriously is depressing.
Nathaniel Carter
Nice argument. Cope much?
Oliver Jenkins
You sound like a pretentious faggot.

Jason James
>The sense of community is equally a sense of dissimilarity and anarchy
This is very far from the case.
Anthony Lopez
Not him but it is totally the case
It's all controversy and argument and shitposting and conflict — that's what this "community" is built on, that's what it intrinsically is
William Hall
Yea Forums is unable to determine controversy. Only what’s agreeable and pleasing.
Also, lol -
>people on Yea Forums hate to belong
you’re either trolling me or in denial. Yea Forums, like /pol/, is full of people who need to be told things. On Yea Forums, it’s what good music is. They need to be told this so they can repeat it and belong.
