I listened to a lot of prog and, while I can hear a lot of influences in Steven Wilson's music, there is something there that belongs to him. I find it difficult to explain precisely, but he sounds like himself, even when he plays a KC-esque riff. Even Robert Fripp said that when he heard Raider ÎI for the first time.
