Name a better rock/prog album, hint its impossible.
Name a better rock/prog album, hint its impossible
Loveless
sluta såsa
hahahah that's not prog+ steal aint beating this masterpiece
Court of the crimson king is the only good song.
Red
close to the edge by yes, get fucked liberal
Tool - Lateralus
Meddle
Not even their best album user
actually it is pic related
käften
Sure no problem
easy nigga
but user, the second half sucks!
>listens to Yes
>uses "liberal" as an insult
The only way your post could have been any more hypocritical is if you also called him a sѹboy.
What's wrong with Yes? I think most of their stuff is pretty based imo. Yeah I know the lyrics are some stupid spiritual shit, but they just sound pretty and fit the music quite nicely. Why this band is associated with incels?
Soft Machine - Third
this shit
it does have acab in the name that make it even better
crimsonfags btfo
That's not even the best KC album.
Based
Ok
Wish you were here
only if you count metal
BASED
ahem
this is just toilet sounds
*ahem*
You're not wrong
>implying metal was any good
what's wrong with you?
>prog
>rock
*AHEM*
user is afraid of himself... of Manowar.
dadrockfags are so helpless
Houses of the Holy
Yeezus and Die Lit

Based. Easily best KC album
This makes king crimson look like kids with toy instruments
Correct answers.
WHO DUNNNNNIIIIITTTTT!!!!!
Iowa by Slipknot
WASIH YOU OR WASEEH ME?
BASED
came to post this
i just finished listening to the album. its really interesting but not better than itcotck
If you see insults like this the rule of thumb you need to use is that they are not being literal about the word they are using for the insult, assuming you aren’t on /pol/ or some politically charged context or some other kind of red flag
>stupid spiritual shit
Get fucked liberal
That’s singer songwriter rock, this thread is more prog-y grandiose type stuff
YES
I kind of like Finding Your Body Map more desu senpai
I prefer part the second, but that's just me
ELP are wanky garbage
Title track is amazing, other tracks are aight
Amazing album. 4/5 songs are some of the best in KC's catalogue
Supper's Ready is great, other tracks are aight
One of the most consistently good KC albums, but doesn't have the insane highs of other albums. Still great
Never really got the hype for VDGG
Hits you with a killer first half but album as a whole is a bit overstuffed imo
I rarely listen to it past the first 10 minutes or so. But they are good 10 minutes
never forget
>4/5
explain yourself faggot
He doesn't like Fallen Angel because he sucks.
I feel like Providence isn't at the same level as the rest of the tracks. It's a cool free-improv piece, one of the better ones they've done, but I really have to be in the right mood to listen to something so unstructured
Fallen Angel is one of the best KC tracks
>Never really got the hype for VDGG
Okay now you really need to explain yourself
I stand corrected. Most people shit on Fallen Angel because it isn't prog enough or something.
It's Leaving Your Body Map you nigger
based
Post the best VDGG song
user... talk to me. Why are you upset?
Anything by genesis during the gabriel era
/thread
All the ELP albums have the same problem in that the first track is incredible and the rest feel kinda bland by comparison
but user their best work is probably lemmings or a plague of lighthouse keepers
youtube.com
>close to the edge
>the pros and cons of hitchhiking
>emerson lake and palmer
You're right. Cat's Eye is a good entry song I think though
King Crimson is great.
Never liked Yes or ELP very much.
based and magma pilled. Favorite album and song?
I really like their debut. It's more accessible than their later stuff, a lot more of a jazz fusion influence
Literally impossible to surpass
Instrumentals are great but I really do not like Peter Hammill as a vocalist
How are you fucking ever going to argue for ITCOTKC over these
is not me However I still really like Kobaïa, and
youtube.com
youtube.com
My favourite album is Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh (uncontroversial I know)
Origin of Symmetry
2nd, you forgot about 1
yes, gusic edition
That's really interesting. I feel like their first is not very accessible. Something like Udu Wudu seems much more normie friendly imo.
“Red” by the same band
Selling England By the Pound is the best prog album
Why have people not been posting the two best Genesis albums? pic related and Lamb
Because is the best genesis album
If it wasn't for Peter Gabriel's unmistakable voice, The lamb would be unrecognizable as a genesis album
It's good and I would argue pretty much tied with Foxtrot, but come on. Lamb and Selling England are basically perfect- only albums I could see going toe to toe with ITCOTCK.
Sure, in the best possible way. It's the one that took the most risks, and literally all of them paid off.
May I remind you that nursery cryme has musical box and the return of giant hogweed, i.e: the best 2 songs the genesis has ever produced?
Not prog rock, but it is better
>tfw ELP is my favorite band
Fountain of Salmacis is better than both of those, and as much as I like all of those tracks I'll take Supper's Ready from Foxtrot over them without really a second thought. Nothing on SE or Lamb quite match up but they're ridiculously consistent. For SE, Knight into Wardrobe into Fifth of Firth is a hell of a way to start, and it ends perfectly with Cinema Show and Aisle quoting the first track. Lamb has too much for me to list, but I'll add a special mention for how damn good Fly on the Windshield and Carpet Crawlers are, and the fact that they're about as far apart in feel as you can get. Also Back in NYC is their best odd metered song.
Faust
/thread
Not prog.
The best prog rock album was made by 15-16 year olds.
Opus III's cover of I Talk to the Wind is better than the original:
youtube.com
Yes prog.
Y'all prog knowledge in this thread is trash
Fuck that rhythm section is tight
came to post this
Timmy absolutely DABS on everybody with STG
Wetton
Holdsworth
Bruford
Jobson
>The album received a mixed response from critics and was not initially a commercial success; it did not enter the UK chart until 1974, when it reached its peak at No. 39. However, the album was successful in Continental Europe, particularly Italy.
Didn't know italians had such a good taste in music
No, Faust is not prog.
/thread. Easily the best prog rock album ever released and definitely better than KC.
Not even the best Rush album.
In fact I'd put Hemispheres, Kings, and Moving Pictures above 2112 without hesitation.
Yep, everything Genesis 1971-1980 tops KC.
classic prog is so fucking cringe it hurts. listen to some actual neo-classical or avant-prog. can’t belive henry cow isn’t itt. fucking fags
Starless can suck a fat one, Islands is their best "epic" track.
There's not a single album itt that's
1. Truly filler free without any goofy corny shit
2. Doesn't have a complete dweeb for a vocalist
This
>do not like Peter Hammill as a vocalist
shit taste, he's got the godliest-tier voice in prog
Dissapointed nobody mentioned this
youtu.be
yup
I never said anything was wrong with Yes. They're one of my favorite bands. The idea of someone being a fan of Yes while also being someone who tells people to "get fucked liberal" is humorously hypocritical, though, since it's a bunch of beautiful music about universal love and beauty and peace and the seasons and the environment, made by a bunch of effeminate vegetarian potheads. Basically the kind of people user would tell to get fucked because they're liberals!
See
Have sex
Not even their best album
