Nice cloudy atmosphere and some interesting guitar riffs. Not completely my cup of tea, but it's executed and produced really well! The instrumental Pure Sorrow stands out for me. It's slow, a bi, peaceful, and the sax is a great addition to the buildup.

Great that you guys keep his spirit alive through his music. Love the artwork btw.

This is our first album and we are kind off all over the place in terms of genres, but the overall feel is rather melancholic.

Really nice stuff here, how did you make these sounds? It sounds like a lot of reversed Rhodes (perhaps?).

Wonderful sounds here. Something about it really captures some of the emotional states I find myself in at the moment. Loved it so much that I've pre-ordered the album. I'm a penniless student, so apologies if the amount I gave wasn't too high!

Here is my SoundCloud. I'd appreciate any feedback on the two tracks I have up. Loved is the most recent, so I'll post that here. Thanks!

Feeling kind of bad that I've promised something and I'm not delivering on that :( So, here are some feedbacks

I loved the part before the rapid noise attack. I feel like there should be much more noise outfits that play it subtley and not pull the gear up to 11 in one moment. But then again noise is a bit of a mystery for me. I would like to hear your stuff that are based on much calmer merit.

The only complain I have towards this is the fact that the vocals could be a tad bit louder in the mix and a bit less obscured. But otherwise this is great, instadownload! Looking forward for more from you :)

Thank you user, glad you've enjoyed some of my sounds!
For one - I'm not big fan of the hi-hats rattling but I would take these over trap beat pattern anyday of the week. I really enjoy the sound palette and I can say that this sound is pretty unique, at least in comparison to the other beat-focused anons I hear on these threads. Another thing - this ain't experimental in the slightest. It triggers my joggin' since I though this would go more wild, more unfocused, maybe even more aletonic but sadly, that hasn't happened. To me this label is misleading for the music you're trying to show here. Other than that - great stuff!

(1/2)
Thank you so kindly user, no amount is too little for me (poor students unite!) so I appreciate the every penny of it :) I hope you'll find some enjoyment in the full release once it goes out live.
Heard your track and the "Kaleidoscope" one. You have a knack to create a dosy, moody atmosphere without overrelying on effects and delay which is always great in my book. However, I feel like beats on "Loved" could use some work. Firstly I feel like a mellow, slower, even trip-hop-speed beats would allow the other instruments to flow nicely, would add space for guitars, maybe other various sound items.

(2/2)
The beat itself could use a bit more variations as well, maybe even an overlay with another drum pattern. I feel that if you want to do a simple drum pattern that works it has to have a very instresting sound palette behind it. If it doesn't have that then it loses some originality and becomes run-in-the-mill, same-y, uneventful. I would also work on the better finisher. The track simply ending on itself doesn't give me a huge reward for getting to the finality of it all - it's much too sudden. I think that adding some kind of winddown down to the entering guitar pattern, maybe with some more noises into it, would give it much of a flair.
Though I'm obviously not the expert on beat-related stuff I feel that this can be a bit more worked on, not nessecarlly in this track, but in the future tracks. What I want to say at the end of the day is that every element matters and every decision taken with regards to details like start and finishing the track is important. I will have you bookmarked for some future intrest. I hope to hear more stuff from you soon, maybe something new, that I'd might be keen on. Wishing well! ;)

Struggling to know where to put it out, and who to send them to. Seems like a bit of a lottery with Spotify, Soundcloud, YT etc but maybe that is where I need to focus my attention. Thoughts?

Are you running your own account on Spotify or are you signed to a digital aggregator? Seems like you have to be on Spotify first then claim it back afterwards.

Attached: Spaceballs Demo A500.gif (319x179, 889K)

That's some great feedback, thanks for taking so much time! Thank you, I am deliberately trying to avoid using too much in the way of effects. Every sound is sampled, so there's no digital elements beyond mastering and the odd reverb and delay, which, as you said, I've used sparingly. I see your point with Loved, and I did originally start at a much lower tempo. Perhaps trying a version at 100, or 110BPM, might help in letting those instruments get through. I definitely see your point with the variation of the beat. I'll be taking all your points into consideration with future tracks, so thank you again! Can't wait for the full album!

(Me)

I really like the guitar tones on this, your vocals sound good in both the technical way and the singing way. The snare reminds me of the default FL Studio snare, takes me out of the music a little but other than that I really like this. Maybe a bit same-y, I expected a more distinct bridge part.

Definitely reminds me a little bit of the shorter tracks on Geogaddi. Same dark vibes and repetitiveness. I dig it, could maybe use some more sounds in the background.

I don't know who your vocals remind me of but I really like them, they fit the songs and have a little of that amateur tinge that I love. I think the tracks would be better if the songs were more fleshed out but that's just my opinion. Ballad for My Heart is repetitive in a way that would allow for some instrumental build up each verse. I like the songs but I guess the folky minimalism of this just isn't my thing.

Holy genres Batman. Huge fan of the vocal effects and the drum track. LOVE the guitar tones. The hip-hop elements worked a lot better than I thought they would. Followed, definitely checking out your other stuff.

Nice!

I really love how simplistic it is. It has that bedroom pop feel, but I also feel like the subtleness of your singing reminds me so much of My Bloody Valentine to a small degree. It'll be cool if you added some (more) light reverb to the master so that it sounds very full.

I love the progression of this jam. I do think the 32nd triplet snares should be side-chained though (as they seem very dominating when they should sound a tad bit minimized in the mixing), BUT, aside from that, the textures on this are really fantastic. I'll potentially use this in my DJ sets.

Your material is really well composed. I am a fan of how you guys threw in some vocals for some of the tracks to break up some of the instrumental monotony on Gravitas. My major thing I'd recommend is to place a dominant and tighter compression for the snare drum on some of the heavier tracks, because the timbre of the snare works on instances like "Another Day at the Office," and the first half of Headlights, but on some of the tracks like Stoned Ape Theory, it kinda sounds drowned out in the mix; nonetheless, it does pack a punch on tracks like Newfound Hope and Deer, and it's cool. Otherwise, really good stuff!
