Stax 009

ATH-M50X
Cowon Plenue D
Flac if I can find it but I'll settle for 320kb mp3

Huge difference compared to the standard earphones that comes with your phone. Still affordable. Total under $150
Is the M50X worth it or should I settle for the M40X?

Personally I haven't tried the M40X but I am very satisfied with the M50X. From what I've heard it's just as good so I would settle for it

i miss my clip +
now i have ruizu x02 which i can't sort folders alphabetically there. at least it was $17 and has about 10hrs battery

Headphones: MPOW Flame
Audio Player: iPhone 8, Macbook
File Type: mp3 I suppose, I stream generally

It's the same size as your penis idiot

Attached: .jpg (4000x3000, 673K)

Why would I get a Cowon Plenue D over a Fiio? That's a $100 difference, what am I getting out of it?

>early
It came out in 2006

ATH-M50X
Spotify or MusicBee
I don't care about file types that much, anything equal to or better than 192kbps MP3 is fine

Also MCR are based as fuck

ok mid 2000s sorry my bad :/

>sennheiser hd200 for pc/ jbuds wireless for phone
>pc/iphone se
>320 for shit i download because i try to upload them to my itunes library and apple doesn’t support flac/whatever quality apple music streams

Attached: jordan_smug.jpg (768x836, 87K)

From personal experience?

YouTube rips burnt to CDs, 15 year old stereo I got for 50 bucks, and whatever the cheapest audio-technica headphones are if I'm using headphones.
Not trying to make a point here, I'm just poor.

shit fucking taste

have you compared andromeda’s to?

I could name any earphone under $500 and you'd still be deluded into thinking Andromedas are substantially better.

If you say so.

Listening with Stax 007 mk2 and d10 energizer right now.

but probably listen with my Stax L700 in a bit

Attached: 163ADA37-8C35-47D0-9960-18CEE4B6D44B.jpg (4032x3024, 2.5M)

I mean a majority reviewers say the same thing, Andromedas constantly get compared to IEMs half it's price. Hell even the IEM general on /g/ could admit that that. If you wanna spend double the cash for a 10-15% improvement by all means, but I just think it'd be wiser to spend that on other audio equipment.

oh, well I guess if you read that... good luck, Imma listen to my Stax IEM now that I think about it.

Attached: A9CA257D-0581-496B-88A2-BF7078021752.jpg (2859x3014, 1.65M)

Just use your cellphones you massive faggots. This is not 2005 anymore for fuck's sake.

Attached: 1553198435393.jpg (1088x941, 117K)

What would really impress me is if you had a nice speaker setup desu. After listening to PMCs my views of audio has changed. Highly doubt your stax iems could compare

Well the Stax iem are nice, not as nice as my Stax 009 or 007. Yeah I have a very nice 2 channel set up too

Can't you just use your computer with Soulseek?

Audio Technica ATH-M50x
On an LG V30 that has a 32-bit Quad DAC
Usually listen to 16 or 24 bit FLAC
Wanna upgrade to Sennheiser HD650 soon for a better soundstage

I love my 650s but it's soundstage is one of it's biggest downsides

Atma-sphere mp-3 phono/line
Atma-Sphere m60 monos
Merlin VSM-MX w/BAM

For vinyl
VPI TNT HR mkV w/ Lyra Helikon

For digital
Audio Aero Capitole mk2 SE
Or
Spectral Audio SDR-2000 dac with Capitole as transport.

Samsung Galaxy S8 with Sony Extra Bass earbuds.

Can you elaborate?

It's still the patrician's choice.

well certainly not on a fucking mp3 player in the the year 2019 you massive faggot :D

It never was.

That's literally it

what should I do if I listen to like 200 gigs of music per week and don't wont to fork out heaps of money on an sd card and I don't want to stream music either ://////////////////

wut..

well I have a ton of music that I want to autistically keep with me at all times, its a few hundred gigs worth, I don't want to stream music because its retarded so my only other option is to have a media player but all of them only take SD card storage which is expensive, is there some other alternative?

download in mp3 not flac

sony nw zx300 is literally perfection.

those doesn't look comfortable, but do they sound good?

Why is Yea Forums (and Yea Forums in general) always so desperate to claim that more money can’t buy you nicer things? What’s with the rampant budgetfaggotry that infests this site’s mentality?

why would you voluntarily fund (((their))) agenda?

I have the M40Xs personally, really enjoy them. Plus with the money you save vs. the M50, you can pick up accessories (aftermarket pads/cables) that can really improve the feel of them.

wut..

I know that those are good headphones, but it straight up looks like you're putting your head in a panini press.

M40X sounds better than M50 to me, clearer and more neutral

Iphone+Cheap sony headphones

lol people ITT falling for the stax meme

Attached: 330px-Brian_O'Halloran_2015.jpg (330x456, 25K)

imagine paying $10k for headphones that not only have virtually no bass at all, but are also torture device-tier uncomfortable

M50X has slightly more bass, mostly similar though

their agenda is hi-fidelity?

kz zs10 is better

It always was you absolute mong

Blame pol and the obscene amount of malleable zoomers they brought in.

Yeah, you can just get an older fiio which will do the same job as a newer one and cost barely anything.

Music from my phone sounds exactly the same.

On the go: Galaxy S8 and One More triple drivers (EQed cause these fuckers are warm)

Headphones: Focal Clear driven by a JDS Atom fed by a Topping D10 (damn near perfect signal chain for sub $200)

Stereos consist of a Pioneer SX1050 driving some old ADSs, a 90s Onkyo integrated driving GoldenEar Aeon 3s, and a little baby Onkyo integrated driving these baby little cast aluminum Realistics in my bedroom that sound five times their size.

Pretty happy with my setups but il probably consolidate into one stereo soon and hope to grab some E-stats eventually.

buy mikza sd card from aliexpress, very affordable + shark

i listen music through youtube with my phone and the earbuds that came with it

Gen 1 Zune and Sony MDR-7506 studio headphones

M50X have exchangable cables, which is pretty cool

i listen on my phone, with earplugs, to whatever the fuck i feel like you faggot

Based /hpg/ regular

On commutes, I just shuffle the music folder on my phone via ES Media Player. (es file explorer) with the samsung earbuds.

At home I have some ATH m40x's, which I have connected to my laptop through a cheap but solid external interface. That's it, I don't need anything else. Anyone who claims one is better than the other is a poser. If you have a good set of headphones, and some kinda interface or soundcard with decent processing capacity, you're good.
I have to say though I might try the beyerdynamics DT770 after my m40's break. Just wanna see if they're as comfy as everyone claims them to be.

I have Mr. Speakers Aeon closed powered by a Schiit stack in my dorm room and for daily drivers I either use my audeze iSine 10's or ATH MSR-7s
pic related is from like last year, my setup is nothing like that now

rutracker.org has probably the largest base of music I've seen, you can find pretty much anything there

what is the best player for android?
black music player user here

I just use VLC on android now. I used to be really anal about players and stuff, but I've stopped caring recently

It's not even 10-15% it's more like 5%. I really got suckered into the 'day and night' rhetoric from audiophiles.

Same

Who else owns the best sounding iem of all time? Of course I’m talking about the Campfire Audio Andromeda

It’s not a phone.
