Repitition is better though
Also pic related of course
bad rec, most people have listened to it, point of rec threads is to recommend things you think people haven't heard dipshit
AAAAAAHHHHH
I know but you never know, just wanted to contribute and not just make a post telling OP he was wrong. Not a big post-hardcore guy
Yeah that's why the thread started with fucking Unwound.
Is modern post hardcore just scenecore gay shit? Older post hardcore from what i heard is a lot different to what post hardcore is now so why are the called the same thing?
Also what are some post hardcore essentials? Ive only really listened to fugazi.
Jawbox's s/t is GOAT
Unwound
Rockets Red Glare
Cinemechanica
1.6 Band
Chief Assassin to the Sinister
nice
pic related is good modern post hardcore
listened to this the other day
all you need is drive like jehu desu
Fucking stop shilling your shit
You're acting like it's bad. Selfish Machines is a fantastically produced album but you'll spit and call it gay because it's Pierce the Veil.
Big personal fav, I somehow discovered this shit in high school and have loved it ever since
forgot pic
And everything else they ever made
modern “hardcore” sucks ass, dont bother. its all scene shit now.
pic related get's a lot of shit for being a Spiderland clone, but while that's true, it's still a good album
It's funny how Pierce the Veil has incredible arrangements throughout all their discography but they are called generic scene-core because of the obnoxious (kinda i admit it) vocals.
they fucking suck
What’s this?
this one is their best by far
That wasn't my point tho.
The best drums ever recorded...
how is that true?
it sounds like they were actively trying to copy Spiderland
The Moon Is a Dead World - Gospel
Also, listen to City of Caterpillar - City of Caterpillar
Really Good
>thinking that influences trump songwriting.
I know its a thin line between being influenced and stealing but the tunes matter.
Seconding Jawbox and Quicksand
Also
Husker du - zen arcade
Helmet - Betty
Songwriting > production
This isn't edm, dumbshit
Hum rules but they're more alternative rock, especially that album
A bit on the scene side but still pretty good
Great instrumentals but those faux emo/blue eyed soul vocals RUIN the songs.
best album in this thread
Slant - Spider Man
Really good modern album, reminds me of something like Metal Box era PiL meets Converge
You have dogshit taste.
