Reminds me of my summers on the shore. Windows down maximum comfy.
>i'll never be 16 again, listening to this as my friends and I drive down to the beach with the windows down

based. And this one.
essential based post
came here to post this glad it was one of the first to be smashed on the thread
Ahhh, this album reminds me of the good old days when I used to visit my grandma, who lived in a small town, during summer holidays back in middle and high school. There was this girl who lived nearby and we would often go to the park lay in the grass listening to some of Nick's music. This album was her favorite IIRC.
I think she was into me for some reason and I was too thick-skulled to notice and reciprocate. Probably the biggest missed opportunity of my life.
Based
Vampire Weekend's first two albums.
>12 in 2013
leave underage
He is exactly 18 years old
Abbey Road is more summer than White Album
wow good thing my taste hasn't developed whatsoever and i definitely still like all the music i liked when i was 16
I start listening to Astral Weeks on the first warm day of the year, and I don't stop until the first cold day of fall

Chihei Hatekayama - Coastal Railroads
It's ambient and just remind me of halcyon days.
Haven't listened to this is ages
This is the definitive summer album for sure
Indisputable
this is one i always bust out
Sorry bro but i got to disagree here.
love this album but it is more of an autumn release to me.
That's fine user. I like to think that Five Leaves Left is a spring album, Bryter Layter is a summer album, Bingamoo is an autumn album and post-bingamoo songs like Black-eyed Dog etc are winter songs.
But really, you can't have enough Nick any time of the year.

easy answer
I remember back in the summer of 2013 just biking around the suburbs of New Jersey, sweating my ass off, everyday for 3 or 4 months while listening a lot to pic related. It was great because I had been a huge fan of jam bands and dad rock in general since I was 15 and being 21 and starting to get into babbies first indie and "modern" bands in general this was the perfect album to help bridge that gap for me. Heavy Metal Drummer literally makes me think of the hot beating sun and smell of grass clippings.
>remember I was biking a bunch in an effort to lose weight and do something productive with my time and get healthier
>tfw I haven't biked or really exercised since that summer and, while I do eat so much better, I'm in much less good shape
>with a little effort I could probably lose weight and feel better and be happier
>right?
>tfw I know this summer won't be any different then the previous 5 and I won't ever feel as driven to make myself better
this. summer 2013 I experienced high school love for the first time and jesus etc. was on repeat. definitely forever associated with those times.
fuck this album is so good
YHF was a winter album for me for such a long time. However now having listened to it a lot while the nature has slowly woken up ii can tell its becoming a summer album. Somehow.
Not sure how Yea Forums feels about this album but I love the heck out of it
for you
a lovely, warm summers evening
Came here to post this so I'll go with pic related instead
summer-nightcore (not the mall ninja bullshit, like actual summer nights)
Alternative choice
hearing Champion always reminds me of when I played it in the car on the way to the beach with my family
only good because of zach
futah dayz
Definitely summer afternoon-core
I don’t associate the weather with my music listening experience
unironically based
And not just because of the title.
Early 90s neo-psych does it for me
He said summer, not summerfag
I think this song came out around the time I was 18 so I definitely link it to the times I was drinking a lot. I think Passion Pitt's Gossamer also came out around the same time. It makes me nostalgic for a time of my life that I will never experience again.
makes me think of walking home warm summer nights after most the busses have stopped running
yeah man. i would listen to this on bike rides and it is fucking sublime in the summer
My go to album for mowing lawns in the summer heat
if we needed a fifth season, that would be the soundtrack to it
I love that album too.
same user. i used to be able to rap all the words to oldie
Exactly! Yes!
Theres a mystical focus on natural beauty in this record that is so organic it's amazing.
Sweet thing always makes me smile so wide, its like walking through a beautiful trail while leaving behind the despairs of winter and enjoying the fresh greenery, looking forward towards late summer evenings and warm night with friends and maybe a nice girl.... ahhh
tragic kingdom
i was feeling sad
Need to increase that age restriction.

Never seen this album mentioned on Yea Forums before but this has been my go-to summer album for ten years or more now. First real hot day of the year, Time Pie goes on and I go for either a long walk or a drive to it.
First time I heard it was a summer day, the birds at the beginning of Goodbye Blue Sky blendet in perfectly.
Also I'd say most Floyd albums are "summer albums".
incredibly based
just listened to this
what a fantastic album
This is getting a reissue btw
listening now, great stuff
These especially
ironically enough the radio singles are the weakest tracks
it's also on spotify now
This album reminds me of being 9, playing at your friend's house during the summer time, who lives three houses down the street from you, after dinner but before the sun goes down.
thanks for reminding me to preorder it
Order
Le city pop youtube summer mix of course!
Took shrooms in my buddies backyard last summer and we listened to this while tossing a football around, smoking fags and drinking beers. One of my best memories.
>listening to When The Summer Ends in early fall and feeling the feelings of a whole teenager summer holiday you've never had through a 4 minute song
fuck
I refuse to listen to "Doin it right" when it's below 25°.
I refuse to listen to it period.
OOH BABE
Most obvious one.
What is it? Couldn't GIS it
so many great answers
Anything 'cept the truth is a sick song for a summer drive.
this album is specifically for the transition between summer and fall
These and pic related
Also, back when they were a ragtag group of dark yet life-affirming neo-hippies urging you to love one another no matter how wrongly life treated you.
Before they made songs about pot and catered only to hoola-hoopers.
>I sang "Om Nashi Me" into the mic when Alex jumped into the crowd on their first ever Memphis show in 2010
It's Dive by Tycho. And yes, it is likely the most summer album in the thread.
Dive by Tycho
it's a good pop album
WAS THAT YOUR CELEBRATED
SUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR
Sun Spat is a banger
Any of Anderson .Paak's solo stuff
I listened to this all last summer but Willoughby's and 12 Bar Bruise definitely give me more summer vibes.
10/10
christmas music
'Parking Lot' is my fave on that one.
>tfw can't listen to MPP anymore
>summer '14
>deep in the throes of love with this girl
>never felt more alive, more human and complete
>listened to MPP all the time together
>memory laying in her bed while bluish plays, I'm running my fingers through her hair, her eyes are closed and she's smiling
>she's gone now
>can't listen to any of MPP without crying my eyes out
The quintessential Floyd summer album
Nice blog post, faggot.
I went through a similar experience. I can still listen to it and be happy but it does make me miss those simpler times
Yeah, being in loved fucked me up too. I've stopped idolizing that period in my life to be honest
This album is perfect for late Spring at two or three AM.
this but very hot one
bro this is definatly fall for me
this is a sunny December for me
OOHH BEB WHERE IS MY DADDY
You mean two or three PM
This and Rocket to Russia are my jams
I've been in that spot before too, my friend. So many songs gone by the wayside because I spent so many nights in bed with her with a lot of my first few favourite albums on in the background. We'll find some new shit to listen to and better girls for us in the future too, brother.
Craft Spells - Idle Labor
Classic for me.
Aja - Steely Dan
Cocaine yacht rock or summertime bike rides
Holy shit, Larry?
What I've learned from a lifetime of music appreciation is that there is no such thing as a seasonal album. You're going to subconsciously associate any given album with the season you first heard it.
I always felt The Wall was a harsh winter album. Animals and Wish You Were Here feel a bit more summery
based
>tfw nostalgia on first listen
youtube.com
this song does it for me. makes me think of summer of '69, vietnam hot climate vibes. the smokey and sultry feel of it just does it.
so anyone gonna explain what the hell a summer album is
This really isn't true at all
Pic related is absolutely perfect for the beach
THIS
this but unironically
pic related is the last day of highschool in album form.
I thought about it, but I'm sticking with AM.

Thanks Limmy

I remember hearing this when it came out in summer 2012. it will never not remind me of staying up til sunrise diving into this obscure new vaporwave genre. it felt like a proper musical renaissance at the time
How do I stop interpreting this as a fucked up micropenis?
i'd guess you probably spend way too much time here and have something of a porn addiction
This, but it's a Summer after your family has been murdered
>you probably spend way too much time here
Yes
>and have something of a porn addiction
Polar opposite
I think Freud would like to have a word with you
>you cannot go back
>tfw 2013 was 6 years ago
Totally agree, used to bump this as a youngin. My mom had it on CD but she was always more into hip hop anyway
Perfect for a warm summer evening
>nobody posted the ultimate redpilled album and summerkino
absolute garbage album cover
