It makes your music way more acessible for foreign audiences in general, and when most of the music you listen to are in english, it's just natural that you'll write in english. It's also easier to write vocal melodies in english because the words are short and flexible.

I think despite being a bit confusing and hard to learn proper pronunciation, it's the best language for poetry and singing. Imo it's the easiest language to learn.

One dude from Rammstein made an interesting point about using languages that are not your own, they have some songs in english too but prefer german because It sounds strong and angry, the same way french can sound romantic, in amerika they actually used english to make a point
So i don't know, really depends on how you want to sound i guess
