I've got a Teac A2300SX on its way. I'm going to be using it for getting some tape saturation on tracks I recorded digitally. It's nothing special or high quality, but it'll be a good introduction to the medium.

its a combo with the pres inside the machine. i have an akai r2r, a sony too, both quite cool, and theres this denon i have which is very very bottom of the line, but saturates incredibly, the fucking pre is amazing for getting grinding guitars.. if only i could clone it, but no schematic for such a basic unit.

Nice. Even if I don't get sounds that saturate like I want, I'll probably still use it on my next album demo to follow this one. Could be interesting to have the 2 track limitation imposed on me.

Yeah most all tape delays are gonna be expensive, nice how he blocks the heads periodically...good trick. You should search YouTube and watch Aaron’s live clips, he’s pretty inspirational what he does with his 8-track tape loops and tape delays etc. His wok with Wolf Eyes is pretty top notch too.

cool shit. i have a grundig one, also tube, but its dead loool ..tube was broken, changed it and its still dead, being powered it melts the whole bias circuit, boiling solder and everything, dunno what the fuck is going on.
