Can someone seriously explain this to me? I listened to her for the first time and it seems like she doesn't even know how to sing. Every song I listened to she's just kind of whisper "singing"

First of all, she was only signed due to her parents' industry connections.

Second, her whisper singing is indicative of how awful her voice is. She whisper-sings because she's only focused on staying on-key. It's a very amateurish way to sing (I'm female, and she literally sings the way I did when I was in high school). If she had a truly beautiful voice she'd sing out, rather than sing softly in a monotone fashion on every single track.

It's autism. Just think of it as mumble rap but without the rap and classic misunderstood teenager syndrome to rebel against a trump society.
