We also don't get the same sample sizes of men and women in music we can't even make a proper comparison.
If you have 1000 males to 100 female artists going into music and only the top 10% makes it, that's 100 male artists for every 10 females, not to mention 10x more chances to reach the highest potential out of everyone which is where you really see the imblance.
