While this is true, you can't deny aphex is also really proficient at timbre, whilst at the same time using traditional track structures in new ways. I find it's this combination of complete avant garde and a more traditional approach that puts him above everyone else and keeps me coming back for more. When I'm searching for real sound art, and ground breaking new textures though, I search for other stuff.
