>more abrasive than Death Grips >more experimental than Radiohead >more innovative than the Velvet Underground >more dark and depressing than Joy Division >more heavy and brutal than the Swans
how did they do it bros? seriously how the FUCK did they do it?
They didn't know what they were doing, and you consider them geniuses for it.

I like this bait. Simple, not at all subtle, yet strangely alluring.

>using DG as a measure for abrasiveness >using JD as a measure for depressiveness What are listening to usually? Probably something normal and mainstream like QotSA, right?
They've always sounded pretty meh to me. They're loud but they lack intensity.
Cameron Bailey
yea this lmfao. You can have your opinion that you dont feel they're the ""most"" of any of those descriptors, but they certainly are those.
Andrew Powell
i mean, not really, it smells from miles away, its the same as any 'ywgwyw is da best thing eva' bait thread
Lincoln Watson

John Hernandez
none of those are true also >less abrasive than Swans >less experimental than Swans >less innovative than Swans >less dark and depressing than Swans >less heavy and brutal than Swans >"Wow this is a Swans tribute! 8/10"
Adrian Ward
I always take two points off for anyone who uses "bros" personally

If we're posting the same shit over and over again:
Alexis Marshall is a poor man's David Yow and this album is straight up over-fucking-rated. People hailing this like it's the second coming or something clearly were snoozing on hell songs or canada songs when they came out. This is a fucking step way down into accessibility and mediocrity for them. It's not terrible, but it's not even close to hitting that same level of Skin Graft/Am Rep/Load shit that it's clearly aping so heavily off of.
