Well you already posted it but I always thought the N64 had some great soundtracks. Jet Force Gemini and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time are up there
>not Silent Hill 2
>not Pokemon Gold
>not Undertale
WEAK
Mirror's Edge has one of my favorite soundtracks, maybe not best of all time but definitely overlooked
Cross is 10/10 as well but Trigger is more impressive because of SNES limitations.
Notable mentions for the donkey kong country games and basically every Kirby game as well.
>Well you already posted it
Seriously, how many different genres and styles are implemented in this soundtrack? From classical to electronic music, from bossa nova to ambient, from folk to sacred music. It's extremely polyhedral and full of ingenious thematic variety, never heard something like this ever again in the vydia world.

>Tumblrtale
>better than any mainline FF OST
Fucking off yourself
It's actually this. And I don't mean the licenced songs. The background music is legitimately great, right in the era of amazing trip hop.
Sounds like modern OPN afterall
Easily the best FF soundtrack along with 9, I know that
Folklore is an underrated game and has a very good atmospheric soundtrack.

Golden Sun
Tactics Ogre
Sonic Rush
Tony Hawk 2
Crazy Taxi
Rez
The World Ends With You
Jet Set Radio Future
>NO BODY
>NO GEAR
>NO NOSE
nah it is the best of all time
Eh I don't know, the most popular choices are always Final Fantasy (any part) and Chrono Trigger, which is totally right of course.
For me however, Earthbound's soundtrack always feels like the one with most soul
zelda oot, god of war, witcher 2-3, nier, and ff8 and 15
Metal Gear Solid 4 is a great contender as well.
For me, it's not even a contest

Excellent choices as well.
Tekken has great music, but I think T4's soundtrack is probably the best.
Tomb Raider 1-6
the God of War soundtracks. They implement many motifs very well through the games and the Greek lyrics form a sort of Greek Chorus frequently describing the action. They foreshadow Zeus being Kratos' father way before you actually figure it out

Unfortunately they were never completely released because each game has like 100 tracks and only 20 something in the soundtracks. Lots of youtube channels post the whole thing though
I was hoping someone would post Katamari, just beat Reroll today and I can’t stop listening to Lonely Rolling Star
FFX is an art masterpiece.
...
FFX soundtrack is based..... But metroid prime has an incredible soundtrack too
Recently finished 9, what a game.

>Doesn't even post the best song
Step it up, senpai

Why Zidane has no face in this?
It’s about music silly
you faggots don't know what makes a game soundtrack good, it's all about the ambiance and how it serves the most important aspect of any game; gameplay
miss me with that weeb shit
>miss me with that weeb shit
>posts zelda
clearly a western inspired art style
>Miss me with that weeb shit
>Posts a soundtrack from a Japanese series
And no, it's not western. Not in the slightest.
dark souls is weeb then, and so is mario??
Don't know
Insecure faggot. Imagine missing out on beautiful stories and music just because >weeb shit. Do you know where you are?
>Dark Souls is weeb then
>A game rooted in Berserk references where Katanas are implemented as viable endgame Dex weapons
Yes
>Mario?
>A game that actually follows a western cartoon style
No.
like that matters
weebshit
Just gonna leave this here. Might be my favorite of all them.

I think of Vagrant Story too, a remarkable classic from the Squaresoft era. Hitoshi Sakimoto is an incredible composer, not only the music but also the sound design from the game was way ahead of its time considering was produced in 1999.

errrrrrrr
ok so we can reduce it to
>it has katanas then it's weeb
what is japanese about berserk's setting?
afaik "weeb shit" is all that with anime art style like Sqenix games
Weebshit is anything that comes from Japan because it leads to weebs drooling over it and saying only japan can make good games. It has nothing to do with artstyle
>So we can reduce it to-
No, we can't. Having Katanas and glorifying Katanas are two separate things.
Nope
I know the game is very dated now but I just love the coziness of Oblivion's soundtrack. Morrowind's is great too.

Video game music is for children. You all need to grow up already
based
I really liked the last God of War soundtrack, it really suited the atmosphere
You’re an out of touch boomer. Some video game music is truly great
Forsaken has such a good techno ost
