sometimes i wish i had an iguana or tegu but they're so much work compared to a dragon

user who posted the Decemberists album here. Sharing my Dragon, too. Picture's old, though.

this is the only right answer

Hell yeah didn't know so many people on Yea Forums had dragons
Very cool

Makes sense, all of you are so socially inept that you probably couldn't even handle interacting with a dog

Catfag here. I've had dogs before though. No need to project so hard.

Glad I could help

Not OP, but I'm enjoying it, thanks

I have a dog and this lizard
Literally the most pointless post I've ever seen

What happened to our culture, man? everything was so optimistic and hopeful, It's like 2012 changed everything. Maybe the Mayans were right, and the a new chapter really started in December. Everything has changed so fast since then - and for the worse

The 2008 recession was a big part of it. People earned less money and lost jobs. It's harder to get jobs. Poverty leads to depression and crime, and it affects the children of these poverty stricken parents as well. So music is gonna reflect that, I think. But I think some countries are really optimistic. Can't name one off the top of my head though.

pic is of my Opaline Gourami. I've had him for quite a long time now, he's the eldest in the tank by quite some time

thx man, I love that little guy. His friend died last year so he's lonely this time of year. Well, if they can experience loneliness that is, but he seems less active than last year, so I figure he is.

Not OP, but nice music. What is your role in the band?

Thanks, man! :)

I'm vocals, lead guitar, and primary songwriter. Also record, produce, and mix all the music. (by record i dont mean record all instruments, just ya know, put the mic on the instrument and hit record)

Not OP, but I've seen your stuff in the Share threads. Very nice! I forgot to follow you, but made sure to do it this time around!

Attached: 1553642243390.png (382x383, 181K)

Nice man, I'm currently recording and mixing my own EP, to be released this Halloween, it's always cool to see other people doing that. I'll follow you guys. Any good mixing tips?

OP here. Cool fish! I'll listen to your music soon after my girlfriend leaves for work. I really like the photo - wish I could take ones like those

Sorry to hear about your loss

WHOAH, that's Steve1989mre, I love his videos hahaha. "lets get this out onto a tray. nice! mmkay"

And thank you for listenin', enjoyin', and followin' us! It means a lot :) We've got new music in the works and lots of shows this summer, including two small tours. New EP coming out in the summer and Fall/Winter, too! Not sure if we will be putting it up on soundcloud though. We really are trying to focus our audience to our spotify/apple music and Bandcamp.

nice, man! What style of music? And my tip would be to always make sure it sounds good going in, because i try to change sounds as little as possible in post production, ya know? If it sounds bad going in, only so much you can do. I pretty much just try to limit myself to only raising volumes and very slight eq changes and additions of reverb here and there in the mixing process. If you're recording from a guitar amp, or drum set, make sure it sounds good going into the microphone and then into the computer. Don't rely on stuff after the fact to make it sound good

Attached: Q2SZelU.jpg (625x626, 22K)

Cool! Hope ya like it!

And thanks, I really like your dragon too! Was looking at a Tegu at a pet shop awhile back and was interested. They seem like a good time haha. And thank you, that picture was a pain in the ass to get. I had a 50mm prime lens on my camera and the fish move so damn fast so it was near impossible to capture them in frame and in focus without a ton of motion blur (had the shutter speed kinda low to let in more light). Here's a pic of my crab :)

Attached: crab smaller.jpg (2592x1728, 1.23M)

Well best of luck to you. I only just started my musical journey last year, so I'm still at that early stage where I don't have to worry about audiences. I'm doing things on my own, but I feel like having working with a band would be a great way to stay motivated and combine creative power. How long have your band members known one another? If you don't mind me asking.

Nice work my dude! I'll be checking out your SoundCloud :)

Attached: 1545948071236.jpg (300x227, 12K)

I do a dreamy sort of pop, with a little bit ofintersting guitar work and some bossa nova rhythms. Thank for the tip. I've been playing a long time, my chops are reasonable, but recording is still newish to me

Newbie artist here. I have a lot to learn but remember that recording is always a different beast. You have to spend countless times recording and hearing your voice, playing, etc played back to get used to it. That's always a big hurdle, but you don't seem like you're worried about it, so you'll be just fine.
Best of luck, user.

working with a band is great, but it can be very tough to coordinate everyone's schedules and to teach everyone the songs and to keep everyone motivated and on the same page. You can only progress as much as the guy who cares the least, ya know?

Well, me and the bassist are first cousins, so since birth, im 23 and hes 24. The other guitarist and I, and the bassist, have known eachother since we've been about 10 or so. We come from a really small town in Western NY. And then our drummer, who is technically our third drummer I guess, we met when we were both 17, and hes been in the band for over 5 years now. So, we've all known eachother for quite some time and we're all best friends

thanks :)

That sounds great. I hope to find some people to work with myself some day.

go to some local shows and meet some folks! It really isnt that hard, even though it seems that it can be

OP here. Took a listen on your SoundCloud (I don't have Spotify, sorry) but I like your sound a lot. Your lead vocalist has a nice and distinct voice and you come up with really nice chord progression and melodies!
