This is the face of the most exciting, forward thinking, and talented artist in hop hop right now. Carti has evolved from mumble rap Carti, to baby voice Carti, to now voice crack Carti.
These trap avant-garde masterpieces highlight the peak of each Carti. Playboi Carti cannot be understood by the many, but the few that can see past the repetition and dare I say, gibberish, will see an artist pushing the limits of music.
Young Thug is the only other artist I can think of that uses their voice in such a way that it becomes an instrument.
I would love to know your opinion on Sir Cartier and why you haven't accepted him as the next biggest influence in hip hop.
You can summarize it simply by saying that he copies UNO THE ACTIVIST.
Hunter Stewart
This is why I don’t enjoy this board, fuck off with this nigger jargon
Isaiah Morales
Why wouldn’t you want your daughter to be a partner to the inventor of music who’s a certified millionaire? lies, all LIES my stummy hurt after your comment
Jacob Moore
PULL UP
Ryder Morris
>This is the face of the most exciting, forward thinking, and talented artist in hop hop right now.
why though?
Michael Mitchell
Sounding like a cross between both Rae Sremmurd's and Uzi Vert or some shit. I donn't really care for it.
Thugga is still >>> Carti can barely rap on his own. needs a million producer tricks and punch ins youtube.com/watch?v=jv1-cAvvgKU
Ethan Adams
one of the best bait threads I've ever seen. gj OP
Carson Bell
Broke Boi was a bang
Jaxson Wilson
explain to me how his production is any different than a generic synthwave track with a deeper bass drum.
Colton Roberts
Ad libs
Benjamin Ward
söyboy farty
Elijah Wilson
His music is just adlibs. I don't see the appeal but whatever
Brandon Fisher
That’s what makes him different. The production on his voice is masterful in his newest leaks
Uno goin harder than Snakeboi Carti. Carti switched up on 2900 and Thouxan as well as Lucki to go dickride ASAP and Interscope Records. Fuck Carti
Lincoln Moore
shit, you're right.
Jonathan Powell
Die Lit took me a couple of listens. I was a hater once, thought the ad libs were corny and his lyrics were too repetitive. However, it just started clicking on different songs and I fell in love. Just give him a chance.
Caleb Watson
Reminder most carti fans online are 14 year old hypebeasts who only became fans after the self titled mixtape.
Gonna be honest, I hated Magnolia when it came out and pretty much all of his soundcloud shit. Die Lit turned me into a fan after I didn't like it at first. Now I love pretty much all his shit. This is why I'm a huge fan: youtube.com/watch?v=viyXAV5zO-s
Robert Cruz
I love Tiller on this. 1. Shoota 2. FlatBed Freestyle 3. Home (KOD) 4. Fell In Luv 5. Foreign
Jordan Cook
I HOPE EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD ARE BLACK

This, there's a time where it just "clicks". I'm not one to say "LOL YOU HAVE TO BE ON DRUGS TO GET IT" but on my third listen of Die Lit I was pretty tipsy for the first time and it made a lot of sense. Felt the same way about Townes Van Zandt's s/t, I didn't get it at all until I was drunk and depressed, just sounded like shit country from a man that didn't have to sing. Both these albums are near masterpieces in my mind. I don't want to quote the pretentious pitchfork review of Die Lit but Carti is a man who can do a whole lot with a whole little.
Noah King
Carti sucks.
Jaxon Myers
This is beyond hip hop now.
Brody Sanchez
what the fuck has young thug been doing? seems like he dropped off the face of the earth after beautiful thugger girls
Carti and his producers have done so well at synthesizing all the influences of this decade as well as presenting something unique and original. Expecting his next album to be hip hop AOTD. Let's see.
On The Run was an excellent EP. His best work in a while.
Isaac Cruz
Location is relaxing to listen to when you're spent
Ryder Foster
he signed a shitty label deal, doesn't have a ton of freedom and only got like $30k upfront they probably own the publication rights and whatnot so he likely has no control at all
Ryder Smith
Is Carti purposely leaking tracks? This is like releasing singles if you're too cool to release singles. There's no way all this shit is just continuously leaking by accident
Ian Adams
Man, I do like some of playboi carti. but you posted some really shitty songs.
youtube.com/watch?v=mQgzqQ1xSZ4 The movin different (second beat) section of this is fantastic, his adlibs take on a barbershop quartet level of harmony
Jose Nguyen
this ain't anonymuz
Dylan Sanchez
I've been posting on Yea Forums since 2009. Was in deep with the memes & the culture in the early 2010s, all that.
Playboi Carti's Die Lit has the most exciting sound in music - including indie rock, all that.
Isaiah Morales
Right, he surrounds himself with A players in the same way that the Greats usually do, you know.
Literally if Playboi Carti had an Axl Rose type of a presence, he could have been the next revolutionary icon in music. 100%
Eli Lewis
lol jesus christ, that's the worst story i've heard all, well in the past few hours anyway.
David Barnes
why tf would he sign that? was he really that desperate?
Caleb Cooper
Imagine being broke and offered 30k for your bullshit rapping. Id sign in a heartbeat
Henry Wood
>youtube.com/watch?v=uXBQqLhWPys This is the only one that includes any interesting vocal variation. Don't ever compare this cockroach to the genius of Young Thug.
Brayden Ortiz
>The production on his voice Nigga who gives a fuck he can't rap for shit I enjoy his music but don't pretend that he's doing anything interesting or noteworthy, Uzi's verse on Shoota is Die Lit's high point
Kevin Allen
He's working on a new project, he was previewing it on Twitter. And he might be doing an Old Town Road remix.
Eli Nguyen
it's not rap, it's avant-garde trap
Dylan Bailey
it's really nice production Carti is probably one of the few trap artists who's music still sounds good once the genre is finally dead and gone but he's really not that special
Justin Campbell
>but he's really not that special
Not yet
Robert Sullivan
alright.
Jose Lee
That first song is a mix. It's good but it's not a real carti song
Zachary Taylor
>On The Run was an excellent EP. His best work in a while. How does it stack up to Barter 6 and the Slime Season series, I've been playing those all the time lately
Parker Collins
was he really broke? lmao i thought thugger was kinda loaded considering hes a huge name in the industry
plus i feel like he would know his worth is wayyyy more than 30k
Joshua Cruz
i doubt he was broke but I don't think he's financially responsible, most rappers aren't since they spend all their advances on jewelry and designer clothing.
Alexander Price
rappers are all retards, did you see the shit recently about blueface not reading his deal?
Hudson Reed
woah peter butterman what ever happened to that guy?
Leo Clark
rappers are shallow despite them trying to appear edgy they are all aesthetics and no substance
Ryder Ramirez
wait what lmao
Gabriel King
>hop hop he absolutely is the same applies to rock bands
I've listened to it like 5 times and still don't get what you hipsters are on about. I mean it's not bad but you guys are riding his dick like he made the best album of the decade. I guess it'll never click with me, like IAOTS, cause I'm not white enough
Thomas Bell
what about blade
Andrew Rogers
yikes, /incêl/ general much? carti is hot garbage btw
Landon Diaz
he sounds like scatman john if he were still alive and doing hiphop I love it lol
Camden Adams
so he's retarded but he's also a nigger? colour me surprised
Andrew Morales
yikes, another incel tripfag to add to the list
Jeremiah Wright
Carti has never been mumble, you can clearly hear everything hes saying.
Camden Gutierrez
>understanding sharti yikes!
Jeremiah Collins
bladee is better
Ian Collins
not really hip hop tries to appear like they are rock stars or have some kind of sound they dont play. besides most of them are barely musicians and they hijack styles from other genres
