>EP has three tracks.
EP has three tracks
>EP has two tracks
>they're both about 4 minutes long
>released on vinyl
yea and it's the best hip-hop EP of all time
>EP is as long as artist's studio albums
>EP is released as a studio album but is obviously just an EP
>album is eleven minutes long
Just call it an EP at that point
>track is 3 EPs
>EP is better than the studio albums
>EP is under ten minutes
>artist only releases one EP in their career
>it fucking sucks
According to my own autistic rules
Singles are 1-3 tracks and under 25 minutes
EPs are at least 4 tracks and under 25 minutes
Albums are anything over 25 minutes (as 25 minutes is too much music for one side of a vinyl record, I know it's possible but it's not recommended)
Why RYM doesn't have any sensible guidelines on this is beyond me. You have 50 minute albums credited as "EPs" just because the band and their record company (who are idiots) marketed it as such.
Is this a single, an EP, or an album? It has ten songs but it's 11 minutes long
EP
album
I see you originally said "at least 4 tracks," so that's actually consistent
They consider it their first album, they had an EP before it that was 4 tracks and 4 minutes long. After that they abandoned that style (their songs got longer and less intense)
What's the GOAT track length and track number for an EP? 15-20 minutes and 5 tracks?
Under 25 minutes? (can fit the entire thing comfortably on one record side)
More than 3 tracks?
It's an EP. Why would a band (and/or record company) even market something this short as an album anyway?
>Why RYM doesn't have any sensible guidelines on this is beyond me
if the release is under 20 minutes or so they will accept your correction if you correct it to EP. as long as the artist hasn't said anything about it
album
I GET UUUUP
I GET DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN
based
that's called a single
but it's labelled and released as a single
