I don't get why they completely departed from the ziggurat type stuff, the die antwood act has always been so exhausting and repetitive .

They were apparently very miserable to work with--described as acting like "prima donnas"--and Ninja was sexually harrassing women and showing them photos of him having sex. He also apparently tried to direct the other actors and tell them how to do their scenes. That's all I remember off the top of my head.

I never said that it was hard to believe. I just want to know where the evidence for it is. I think the only thing they've done wrong is the initial reaction they gave. The whole revenge porn and smearing Zheani as a satanist wasn't the way to go about it. When I saw Ninja's video I honestly thought it was a promotion tactic for Zheani's music.

Of course Ninja is going to be engaged in extremely taboo sex magick, I'd be disappointed if he wasn't.

it's an act in a sense that they play these characters. They did this with Maxnormaltv (check it out if you haven't already) and Die Antwoord is just another project (which turned to be very profitable for them, so I guess they'll milk it until they can't)
