it has too much soul

it doesn't trigger anyone

/thread

Because its a japanese dude
Jazzfags only accept neggros playong their genre

They think a bunch of anonymous weebs praising it in the youtube comments is a serious problem

jazz is the only real authentic music America has. Some ching chong should not steal it

Explain Dave Brubeck and Bill Evans then.

*shits on some barely known jap's legacy in your path*

I don’t think anybody is actually very triggered by the album itself. It’s not that terrible or anything. I think if people are triggered it’s probably because of the insane overhype of the album and the people who act like it’s one of the greatest jazz albums of all time when it’s really just a slightly below average piano trio album.

I said jazzfags not everyone is a jazzfag there is people that is actually openminded fren

Kenny G is the one that trigger jazz fans

Because jazzthreadguy doesn't like it and jazzfags on Yea Forums feel like they need to prove something by always agreeing with the only articulate guy to come out of this board.

But everybody always shits on criss cross which is jtg’s favorite apparently

In order to understand the jazz fan's critique, you have to listen to the same amount of jazz he has. Albums jazz fans describe as "average" are still much higher displays of musicianship than a typical rock or pop record. It's not that they're triggered, it's just that this album realky isn't the spectacular revolution that you think.

this

Idk lol

FPBP

Anything that is accessible to the mass pisses off the hardcore fans. They also hate Kamasi Washington too.

Weebs who don't know any jazz besides this and cowboy bebop ost circlejerk over it and act like it's the best jazz ever

I don't think anyone considers Ryo Fyuki's work a spectacular revolution. It's just some fun piano jazz. Easy to listen to, nice album to throw on and chill to during a summer day. The same can't be said about most jazz albums that display incredible levels of musicianship.

it's not by a black male

it triggers me
it's the jazz version of "chill hip hop beats for studying"

>it's the jazz version of "chill hip hop beats for studying"
this it isn't that good of an album the only reason they dick ride it so much is because a japanese dude made it

Casiopea is the superior Youtubecore jazz.

Anyone got a vinyl rip it? Looking for a friend.

Because you guys only listen to it because an obscure Japanese guy made it, if it was discovered to be some long lost recording from an American guy you wouldn't give a shit

I'd love to see the people praising Scenery also praise and listen to talent like Evans, Ellington, Monk, Hancock, Powell, etc. but they won't because they're tourists who don't give a shit about jazz

fpbp
if a jazz album isn't challenging it's automatically hated by jazzfags

ope! it looks like you might have posted the wrong album :)

>The same can't be said about most jazz albums that display incredible levels of musicianship.
It can though, especially about average albums. Jazz critics (and I will concede the point that they are often wrong) generally give high ratings to albums that are incredibly original. And this one isn't.

>never heard 30 seconds of a Bill Evans song

Name 10 jazz records

>Easy to listen to, nice album to throw on and chill to during a summer day.
and I guess the thing that a lot of outsiders don't get is critics are quite happy to listen to an album they deem "average" in this context. If you ever listen to jazz radio it's dominated by that kind of music.

Because this album got popular thanks to the youtube recommendation algorithm.
I mean for real, i rarely listen to music on youtube, and i am not a jazzhead either, but this album cover used to pop out somewhere everytime i visited the site
eventually normies and weebs found the record and after listening through for 5 minutes they think they became Scaruffis of jazz or something

Japs tend to suck at improvising, which is the heart of jazz.

Name 3

Jackie Chan

Because it's actually good

Because it's actually enjoyable and not some esoteric shit you would've had to be listening to jazz your entire life to apreciate.

>[entire race] tend to suck at improvising
Brainlet

too accessible

only people trying to look cool and alternative talk shit on this album, kinda like how people talk shit on Kind of Blue or A Love Supreme. it's totally passable. not revolutionary or unique really, but just totally fine. and when you consider that this was recorded like 5 years after the dude started learning piano, you can't help but feel some respect

mah nigga
rain forest got me through some hard times
Cried, Cried...
Pretty good review

I prefer keiko matsui for easy listening. its FUN as fuck.

because youtube recommendations makes every 19 year old college sophomore think they are a genius while writing their remedial English paper.

now this is a REAL album
