I've considered Pink Floyd to be overrated for 30 years. The banality of the lyrics, mainly, combined with the over-the-top zealotry of the Floyd-heads. A bunch of stupid Euro hippies singing "wish you were here" with an acoustic guitar in Rome: so fucking not rock and roll. Even Syd's stuff I can easily live without. But Waters is a fucking moron. I do like Gilmour's guitar sound and sure, there is some good production on the records.
