Hash Jar Temple is pretty dope actually, thanks. Check out Cerberus Shoal and The Work buddy

I've been meaning to finish their discography for a while. Really cool how they go from gloomy post-rock to avant-folkprog like Comus and Big Blood in their later work. If you like em at their craziest, you may find the work of Frank Pahl worth your while.
The Work looks like something I'd totally dig. Thank you!

Huh, nice taste in post-rock I see. Although I personally have always been into more electronic-driven stuff from that genre I can recall some folky tunes from it as well. The first that comes to my mind probably is Acquatica by Scenic. Even despite using electroguitars on lots of their tracks there they still managed to preserve the chamber sound, kinda reminds me of Dirty Three in that regard. But, unlike Dirty Three's, Scenic's tracks generally sound rather uplifting, creating ambient atmosphere of Mideterrenean shores. And since you like Stereolab would also recommend Genf, they released only one album that wasn't groundbreaking to any extent but I still enjoy it pretty much t bh
