if i want to record a demo with a three piece band is this + three mics all i need? i have the 202hd but i don’t think that is enough inputs unless i multitracked it.

How exactly are you planning on setting up these mics?
one on the guitar amp, one over the drums (or wherever sounds best to me), and the vox right into the interface

I feel like you could get a cheap mixer but then you'd be recording multiple sources into one track which is just too raw, I think.

So no bass? That could work. Although you’d probably lose low end going with just an overhead on the drums, if you’re going for lo-fi then it probably doesn’t matter

I have a good idea for your demo:
1. Take all your gear
2. Drive out to your local grocery store
3. Throw all your gear in the dumpster out back because nobody wants to listen to your lame fucking screamo band

recording drums with a single mic will sound bad and it'll be hard to hear the kit in a balanced way but if you want lofi it may not matter. Probably won't be able to get any bass in the kick. Cymbals will probably dominate the sound.
