4:15. Why are there so many trannies in early electronic music?
Imagine having sex with her, and she puts a vocoder on her mouth while moaning. That would be amazing.
Patrician taste, OP.

twice in to days Ive seen her mentioned
S/he's a classic. You can't talk about the history of synthesisers without bring it up.
I always wish Delia Derbyshire done more
these kinds of videos make my current life just that much more bearable. Thx OP
electronic music is this melting pot of masculine cold logic and warm female emotion. The people who are really into it probably have both sides, hence why they might be more likely to undergo a sex change. At least that's how I think about it.
nice headcanon but i buy it
Women move early into new art forms that aren't already defined by men. Electronic music and video art installations are examples.
Or at least this is the orthodox academic view anyway.
>why even live?
to listen to music?
>pic unrelated
Thanks for reminding me that Laurel Halo will never be my gf :,(
Aphex Twin only exists to gently prepare an audience for Daphne Oram's material.
Why even have ears?

how were those women so based? they literally understood what electronic music was about, made all the avant garde academia dudes look like monkeys with a snare drum.
Why do you people complain so much about not having a girlfriend? Why does it matter so much to you?
Why are there so few female electronic musicians even to these days? It's like they don't know how many pioneers women have been in the history of electronic music at all.
I'm in a conservatory studying electronic music and there isn't a single girl, all males, all wieners.
Daphne was a full-spectrum genius.
She made MIDI piano roll look outdated 30 years before it was mainstream.
Its a mechanical DAW.
it's just a shitty meme
that single phrase defines me I feel like. I can imagine music that's way more refined than anything I can play myself. I don't have the hand-eye coordination, and am not interested in spending years just to get the basics down.
>ywn play with synths alongside delia derbyshire
>ywn construct a beautiful piece together
her version of air on g string is something else

Also, that's pretty cool, what courses do you have? Are you american?
Sorry unfortunately I'm straight, also I'm European.
She's pretty good, for a girl
Who are you quoting?
Turns out a massive alcoholic who'd phone you at 3am to drone on for two hours sadly.
I don't know what you interpreted "courses" as, but it's got nothing to do with sexuality kek.
I mean, what does your day look like, what subjects do you study?
It's not a meme I wish I had a girl who could fulfill my emotional needs
the laurie spiegel pic that guy/you posted
i'd listen
So are you a girl?
nah, srry to burst your bubble if you thought otherwise
>"Also that's pretty cool"
I thought you were referring to the fact that there are no females. Anyway, mostly boring, not because of the subjects and the courses themselves, but because the conservatory is very old and desolated, with no interests in contemporary music and any sort of innovative idea. They still perceive the electronic department as the "avant-garde" side, they still literally have no clue about modern experimental music and only care about the repertory. And this depicts the general atmosphere you can sense everyday.
So I imagine you get a bunch of electronics courses, music theory and stuff like mixing, DAW software etc?
bumping because comfy thread.
Have a nice weekend sadlads
Unlike in pop, you can't live off your appearance in electronic.
why unrelated? mira makes music, ffs.
>mixing, DAW software
Nothing like that, it's mainly based on electroacoustic composition and methods, the academic way of making electronic music is focused on algorithmic software by developing your own instruments. Also lots of history (the starting point was literally the greeks and the gregorian chants soon after) and lots of theory.
hmm, sounds interesting. Not something I'd wanna major in though I think. Is this your only degree (so far)? You know what you're gonna do after this?
we're having an adult discussion about female electronic innovators
Yes, anything which has to do with sound.
I honestly wish I had the courage to do the same. Currently I'm in a chemistry degree I'm starting to hate quite intensely. Luckily my internship is going pretty well so it'll be over by the end of this year.
Where I live I don't think there's many options for getting into sound engineering/electronic music. There's stuff like audiovisual arts with a minor in sound and radio. But that gets you into commercials/tv studios and stuff like that. Not what I'm after. I'm trying to teach myself in my spare time, just to keep my sanity.
Anyway, enough of my babbling, have a good night, i'm off to sleep.
