>primal scream - screamadelica
>happy mondays- pills n thrills and bellyaches
>stone roses - stone roses
>ride - nowhere
>any beach boys album
>beck - odelay and quero (but that might just be me, my parents played those when I was young and it reminds me of summer)
also that dirty three album doesn’t feel summery in the slightest, it just makes me think of beaches and fishing towns with stormy weather

I don't like summer because it's too hot wtf summer?

I love you user

>re: dirty three
you right
lol
thanks user :')

>swans - white light from the mouth of infinity
Nothing beats sitting out on my porch in the sun, drinking a nice cold beer and listening to Failure

based except
>the glow pt 2
this is more of a fall album

>maggot brain
what makes this feel like summer?
>ceres and calypso
this seems more like spring album to me
>strawberry jam
not a critique, but it's funny that a summer album has a song called winter wonderland on it

I actually super agree, the glow pt 2 is one of the first albums I think of when I'm thinking of fall music. Summer nights and fall just overlap in my mind I think, and all the nature imagery in that album reminds me of summer nights in the woods
>maggot brain
hit it and quit it, you and your folks and can you get to that really exemplify that quintessential upbeat summer feeling to me. even the title track screams summer to me in a way that's hard to put into words, I think it's very much tainted by my personal experiences
>ceres and calypso
I can def see this being more spring than summer
>strawberry jam
loool

Tatsuro Yamashita: Absolutely Patrician choice

Sublime and RHCP are so bad it makes me depressed just hearing them.
It reminds me of the most depressing and boring corners of suburban life.
People sitting in gas station parking lots drinking slushies and smoking cheap cigarettes

>Oracular
>Lost Horizons
>Lonerism
Absolute shoe-ins. Definitively summercore
>Long Season
I think this is more of a summer night album for me, but I could be swayed
>Tycho
I'm leaning towards summer night
>Why?
I've heard these guys before and I remember them being pretty cringe inducing. Maybe I'll give them another chance sometime
>Pet Sounds
The Beach Boys definitely fit the mold of summercore, but is Pet Sounds their most summery album? I never got very deep into them
>Demon Days
It's a summer album for me personally, but I don't know if it has a lot of objectively summery characteristics. El Manana is pretty much the definition of a summer night song to me, though
>Causers of This
I like this album but it doesn't scream summer to me, despite Toro y Moi in general giving me summer vibes. I'm curious what made you choose this album from his catalog
I haven't listened to the rest of your list
I'll have to check this out
Appreciate the contribution, user. Era Extrana is the Neon Indian album I'm least familiar with, I'm listening to it again now though. All his albums just scream summer to me.
Haven't listened to that Toro y Moi album but I'll be sure to check it out. Not familiar with the rest of your chart, besides CHON which I've listened to a little of
Great choice
I wasn't sure what Pink Floyd album I'd consider summercore, if any. Curious what your reasoning for Piper is

bump

interesting how your summer night core is my fallcore

Those are pretty good, I would also add a Van Halen album

Bonus points for Sergio Mendes. I like you OP

Thanks anons :)
I think summer nights and early fall evoke a similar atmosphere. There's definitely an overlap between them in my mind. The first 2 albums, among others, are definitely fallcore for me too

that first part is meant for

BASED

Generally, Sufjan Stevens is a very wintery artist, however The Age of Adz is pure summer pop.

White text with shadows on orange is the most horrific scheme ever devised

I agree with all of this except for Fishmans, their early dub like King Master George is certainly for the summer but Long Season definitely isn't

based Big Star user

Not even joking

Congratulations is a winter album

Long Season is a spring album retards

I respect that opinion. I'm undecided on it right now, but the title track is such a summer song

I listened to this pretty much every day in Summer 2012, the second half especially so I can't hear those songs without feeling how the sun felt that summer.
