Jazz isn't intellectual enough after Coltrane died. If you recall the greatest standards and composers in jazz, you'll notice all of them are from before about the mid-1960s. Nobody was around to truly continue and advance the lineage of classic jazz and bebop compositions. Modern jazz (1970s-present) strayed too far from the real greats, like Ellington, Henderson, Tatum, Mingus etc.

Free jazz hack.
no youre wrong
It's just trash classical. It never was good and never will be. The only reason it exists is so that stupid white people can pretend they're intelligent.
>Nobody was around to truly continue and advance the lineage of classic jazz and bebop compositions
The irony is that jazz was for squares.
lol that's why your whole culture exists
Listen to Alex Sipiagin
I keep seeing someone post about Sipiagin. Is it just you? He's a great artist. Good taste.
One of the only vocal jazz tracks I have ever enjoyed was from his recent album Moments Captured (second track). Usually can't stand vocal jazz, but this tune actually got stuck in my head.
Sipiagin's chops are insane also. Thanks to him I can't listen to Miles without cringing at his less than stellar technique.
>Nobody was around to truly continue and advance the lineage of classic jazz and bebop compositions
There was nowhere to go.
>so that stupid white people can pretend they're intelligent
That's what classical is for. Jazz is often too challenging for people to pretend to enjoy while classical is not.
Count how many "12 hour long classical music to study and relax to" videos there are on YouTube compared to the same for jazz.
