just because you're a retard user doesn't mean that other people don't enjoy this album

imagine pretending to enjoy one of the most trash albums in existence just to look like a "patrician," fucking yikes

That's right, The Mascara Snake

Now listen to 4'33 by John Cage, OP.

>I don't get _____, therefore every person who claims to genuinely enjoy it is just pretending, and it's all a plot to make me feel inferior!!

Is there a single more insecure statement you could make?

nice argument
What's there to get? It's just random noises that the only reason that people pretend to "get" is because the autists who made it meticulously created their melodies to create...shit. If an album sounds like shit, it's shit, no matter how much autism went into it.

>grrr my opinion is just right!

Moonlight on Vermont is alright but everything else will pass people by. Only patricians and people who listen to it again and again till the shit tastes sweet rate it that highly

It's actually very good though

bro its just really weird blues with a goofy vocalist this shit is really not that hard to get

What argument you want? If you aren't capable of understand free jazz and Delta blues you will never get that album

based and redpilled

now we wont have to worry about...rockette morton with any of those girls

I didn't get it when I was in high school but after taking the deep dive on blues and jazz (especially free jazz) it makes a lot more sense now, in fact I quite enjoy it. It's essentially blues rock played as free jazz and once you get that the kind of parody of/homage too/deconstruction of blues becomes a lot more apparent, it's kind of a hilarious and genius album with how it's nonsensical, yet still structured, and noticeably bluesy, music combines with the surreal and dadaist lyrics that still reference tropes of blues and rock music. I enjoy it a lot even though it's not my fav album ever I think it deserves most if not all of the praise it gets. Plus it's a pleb filter that is still working like 50 years later which is a pretty beautiful thing in and of itself. I can get a great impression of people's level of appreciation for music for their reaction to this music, those who say things like "lol it's just random crap, doesn't make any sense" or especially "it's not even music/barely even music" obviously don't engage with music on a really intellectual level and should probably stick to Radiohead.

theres nothing to get lol its justr a chaotic mess and its fun to listen to

this is probably bait but nothing on tmr is random
every part was written on piano and transposed

I bet you're the same retard who thinks Sister Ray is a master piece too. Stop reading scaruffi, it's rotting your brain.

This is literally completely unrelated to what I said. Do you think that I must completely adore Scaruffi because I like TMR? I mean I disagree with him fairly regularly. And I wrote pretty clearly why I like TMR so I don't know why you would just assume that "lol he only likes cause Scaruffi!" that's a pretty dumbass way of thinking, user. Sister Ray is an interesting song for sure but I don't really have a lot to say about it positively or negatively, definitely not one of my fav VU tracks and regardless that has nothing to do with TMR

Based. This album is hipster trash

100% agree, this album is garbage. I wouldn't hate it if it was listed with The Shaggs and other stupid shit. But people giving this 10s are from the highest caste of pseuds on the board.

This album is a solid soundsgoodwhenimdrunk/10

even so, it's a fucking dumb defense to try and state that you can only conceive of music intellectually if you enjoy free-form rock. I don't think the album itself is unique anymore compared to other musique concrete, and experimental records anymore. Some of the tracks themselves are just basic polyrythmic structures with an annoying sax in the background. Twinfinitives and Laughing Stock are far more developed than this album, yet this receives the undue praise because of its meme cover, meme lyrics, and meme instruments.

whadda you run on, Rocket Morton?

say beans

What does it feel like being a brainlet?
