Even though the current year isn't halfway through, everybody probably already has found something interesting to them that was released this year. Share those albums in a chart or in some other way.

I really need to hear the new Matmos, I really liked some of the singles for that

The Daniel O'Sullivan album is actually 'Folly' (Under the Knife is one of the singles)
how does it compare to Universal Themes? And what about Common as Light? I'd assume it be closer to the latter
I seriously miss Health before they went balls deep into making basic synth stuff, it's a unique aesthetic but it's so focused on aesthetic at the expense of there being anything vital sounding. Maybe it can and should be seen good in its own right but if you're comparing it to the first two albums it doesn't reach the same heights, and this isn't just because those are more rock than the later stuff is. It's way over sterilized
it’s not out yet but I’m 100 percent sure it’s gonna be this
I like The Drums but I thought Brutalism was awful. What did you like about it?
Catchy instrumentals, the lyrics are sometimes meh. To me it doesn't sound that different from their earlier albums. I think it will be replaced by something else soon.
this is mine
There are more that I like a lot but need to listen to again. These are the few that I've enjoyed enough to feel confident about being my favorites so far.
Nice Matmos
Nice Helium Horse Fly
Nice Ifriqiyya Electrique
the caretaker - everywhere at the end of time
PNRSO & beth gibbons - gorecki symphony no 3
black dresses - thank you
quelle chris - guns
claypool lennon delirium - south of reality
uranium club - the cosmo cleaners
matmos - plastic anniversary
jessica pratt - quiet signs
elizabeth colour wheel - nocebo
fennesz - agora
good taste
the sun kil moon album sucks. it's nowhere near these albums you mentioned. at best it's similar to This Is My Dinner but it's way worse than that one too
Disappointing to see Taborn associate with trust-fund baby Iyer.
Bump
slaves of fear is very nice
ooh that birdskull album looks nice, what genre is it?
Also I still gotta listen to new brazilian funk dammit
Seriously the only albums i have heard this year that have been above mediocre
agreed, leagues better than their previous stuff, also refreshing to hear sparseness and simplicity done well
Here are the stuff I liked so far.
>PNL
I'm curious : are you french and if not, why do you like them ?
finding some good new stuff in these charts. thanks anons!
highly recommending the new Fennesz, Go Rounds, and Default Genders albums in my chart
New Japanese Noise is better
the funk one gets really annoying in parts
this year has been shit
There's been some solid stuff, but nothing that's confirmed AOTY. My current frontrunner is the new Pup record.
both are on my wishlist, but if both albums are what the title suggest, ill probably like new Japanese noise more :)
I agree, apart from dorkcore, i havent been super excited while listening to a record. Shame, compared to last year's messa, death grips, nils frahm, ghostemane and whatnot
that helium horse fly record was amazing
Listening to Fennesz now, will definitely add it when I'm done, its fantastic so far.
gotta check out a few of these
ive listened to maybe 3 albums this year that i liked
Pup - Morbid Stuff
Jesse Stewart - Shed Life
Chinese Football - Continue?
anyone got any good indie/punk/folk/emo recs for 2019?
for me, it's dog whistle
so far
I'm glad the Matmos record is getting so much love
