Same reason you touch yourself to gay porn at night, you're all fags.

stop projecting, metaltard

You will never escape the fact that you're OP, which makes you gay by default like metalfags. Cope bitch.

keep bumping my thread ya big homo

Yikes

OOF

They're part of a semioutcast group that think liking some type of music gives them personality like most people that make their persona out of a fandom

What do metalfags and OP have in common? Both bob their heads on penis. OP eternally gay like metal.

Because they're white. Same with all white music even classical. Black people invented rock and roll and then the whites got a hold of it and twisted it up and made it nasty which is what metal is. Whites are disgusting and demented.

I bet you like deathgrips and eminam
Also saged

Saged because op only listens to kpop and niggers like Xxxtentacion

Sage

What the fuck is going on in this thread

why the fuck hasn't AlphaOmegaSin made a video since the Cretaceous?

Because metal is the white male equivalent of hip hop.

They have a cringy style on purpose so tourists don't invade their subculture

This

They have a cringy style because the originators of this culture unironically thought it looked cool, nowadays the followers might think it still does or just adopt the style to pay tribute to the genre.

>so tourists don't invade their subculture
Have you ever been to a metal festival? In my country, there's a huge one and it has become a joke among metalheads. It's overpriced and many people going there don't get the first thing about metal and act like retards. These people are genuine tourists, not the kind /metal/ doesn't like because they listen to the wrong death metal band.
Also, do you realize that metal was mainstream as fuck during the 80s?

I see you Christgau.

why doesn't he grow a full beard

Because the music's cringy, tryhard and edgy. The exceptions include the early pioneers of metal and the subgenres that experiment with the formula to the point where they don't even sound like metal any more.

Metal wasn't mainstream af in the 80s
Only poser glam bands like motley crue
And metallica is the only real metal known by outsiders

Btw check out my deathgrips thread

>I discovered metal three months ago
OK, try to look for live videos of 80s metal bands like Maiden, Judas Priest and so on and dare to tell me it's not as big as it gets.
In my country, it wasn't very mainstream, it was mostly music listened by truckdrivers (my neigbor was one of them and he taught me about megadeth, slayer and shit), but in the USA, it was huge.

Also, Glam is great, if you don't like it, you're a poser.

because people like you are boring

Fuck off poser

overcompensation due to insecurity (probably losers in high school)

TFW been listening to metal for a decade but never got into the whole metal clothes and hair and mannerisms and never been to a concert or talked with other "metalheads" and I find it pretty ridiculous too and I just like to listen to the music

Based

Fuck metal fans and fuck rap fans, same shit different aesthetic

OP

Metal's original aesthetic was based around hippies and motorcycle gangs, because those were the edgelords of their time. Its not a very relevant aesthetic anymore, I can't see myself ever wearing one of those denim vests covered in patches.

How do you know that guy likes metal?
Ive been fooled before by dudes that look like that. Half the time they like some gayass video game soundtrack bullshit

>I can't see myself ever wearing one of those denim vests covered in patches.

Sons of Anarchy brought it back.
Theres nig biker gang clubhouse beside my work and they all wear them.

>metal clothes
Nobody except teens wear full metal clothing. Most of us just dress in dark normal clothes. Some of us wear band shirts, that we buy from the gigs. It's not that hard.
>hair
Hair isn't necessary. It's not 80s anymore.
>mannerisms
What are metal mannerisms?
>never been to a concert
What's stopping you? I go to gigs about 6 times a year. It feels like kind of "pilgrimage" to gather all your friends, drive for 2 hours and finally see the band live and hear (most of) your favorite songs. Fun times.
>talked with other "metalheads"
I really feel sorry for you. I spent my teen years with other metalheads. Nowadays most of our ways have parted, but still got few friends to speak about metal and go to gigs to. Also usually at gigs you'll find yourself talking about metal with other random metalheads.
>I find it pretty ridiculous too
You find ridiculous, because you think we are some comic characters. Most of us are normal people with normal lives, normal clothing (most of men wear dark here, because we aren't africans or homosexuals), normal hair, and not any "metal mannerisms". We just like the music. Go to gig once, and get rid of those delusions.

By mannerisms I meant the horns and stuff. I have not been to concerts because I don't really care for them, I just want to listen to the music and I have no interest in jumping around and making horn signs and screaming with people I don't know. I just want to listen to the music by myself. If you enjoy that ok, it's just not something that interests me.

Can you name your top 10 metal bands? Not trying to mock you. Just interested what kind of metal do you like, since you don't care about gigs.

>mannerisms
That's everywhere.
Like rappers with their gangsigns.
Wigger hiphoppers who imitate ebonics.
Punks with torn clothes, patches and what not.

jesus, remember the indie vs metal wars here?

Blind Guardian and Therion are my absolute favorites but I also really like
Angra, Kamelot, Haggard, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Dream Theater, Sigh, Symphony X, Nightwish, Lacrimosa and others

What makes you think I find those less ridiculous?

Heh... what's the problem pussy? Too br00tal for you?

>Why are metalheads so cringy and tryhard edgy

Attached: Soyboy-2.jpg (1280x720, 100K)

Yeah now indie is dead, metal stuck to its general and board is just hip hop vs waifu trash pop

>Therion
Boy you'd better be spinning ...Of Darkness more than the later stuff or I'm coming over to your house to whoop you

it's a combination of:
-a grimdark aesthetic
-bashing other genres while often not knowing shit about them (especially rap and electronics)
-elitism, often ill-founded
-related to elitism and genre bashing: thinking other people must be clueless normies who listen only to Bieber and Miley Cyrus
-trying to look tough (combat boots, leather, spikes, milsurp) while looking like a wimp

What happened to just laughing at Kpop fans?

Not into power metal or traditional heavy metal, that much. I went to see Stratovarius with my gf (since she is into that), but it didn't really feel like metal gig. There wasn't moshing, or even people giving horns. Most of them didn't jump or yell. 10% of people there looked like "metalheads". Most of them were with girls, instead of the usual sausage fest of extreme metal gigs. You would propably enjoy power metal gigs.

If all the gay elitism is ignored it has the best communities of communities.

I listened to other genres before it so I can praise it. You faggot

I don't wear combat boots or leather jacket to look tough. I couldn't care less about looking tough. Actually I'm surprised, that someone sees jacket and boots as such. They just feel comfy.

>thinking other people must be clueless normies who listen only to Bieber and Miley Cyrus
You are wrong about this. It's more about bashing fake metal, not pop music.

The ones who bash genres such as pop actually are edgy teens.

because you don't see the normal people that listen to metal because they're normally dressed and don't scream that they like metal at you like the kind of cringy metalheads, you don't know what they listen to till you ask them personally, leading to the image of the general metalhead to only consist of the cringy edge guys wearing combat boots, cargo pants and bandshirts. other genres typically have a fanbase that's more unified in dress codes and manerisms, while in metal there's a clear divide between the normal fan and the metalhead fans in manerisms and dress.

THIS IS MIKE FROM BECOME THE KNIGHT

I was half memeing with my previous post, but I'll reply seriously. About the clothing: I know most metalheads wear leather, boots and shit because that's a part of the metalhead look, not because they want to look tough. However, fashion-wise, you have to look kinda tough to pull off leather and boots (I mean biker-ish, manly looking leather and boots, I'm not talking about some Zara shit) and most metalheads don't look tough enough for that and they end up looking kinda funny.
About bashing: some people bash fake metal (or whatever they consider fake metal anyway) some bash pop, rap and "techno", depends if the guy we're talking about is mature or some teenage loser

Secret of the Runes and Deggial are the best

I don't really care much for pre-Theli era

Idk if this reputation is actually justified, many metalheads are not edgy at all and are just really nice people
